The name of the farm where the movie Lord of the Rings was filmed is Sheep Farm and it belongs to the Alexanders, a family who moved to New Zealand in 1978. Featuring an area of early 500 hectares, the place is a traditional beef and sheep farm. Featuring a number of 13,000 sheep and over 300 beef cattle, the location is indeed mesmerizing. The creator of Lord of the Rings, JRR Tolkien was the one to choose this place and linked it with a hobbit land.
