HOTEL SCHLOSS MONCHSTEIN***** Straight to the heart, in the heart of Salzburg . We are rebuilding for you - therefore, our hotel will be closed from October 2006 till May 2007. Awarded as the best 5-star hotel in Austria with the Star Award. The castle was built in 1350 and used as a hotel in 1948. You´ll find this unique castle of the luxury class over the rooftops of the old town of Salzburg, surrounded by a fabulous 14.000 m2 wide park with lots of meadows and trees. With lots of love for the details, the necessary accurateness and with the due respect referring the tradition of the ancient castle, a comprehensive reconstruction was carried out in the beginning of 2003. The combinations of old tradition and state of the art design as well as modern technique represent a very particular attractiveness in this unique location. Our 24 individually designed rooms and suites offer fantastic views either of the park or the city of Salzburg. They are decorated with valuable antiques or in the way of the “Wiener Werkstätten”. All of them are configured with special emphasis on the bathrooms. During the course of renovation work (2006/2007), our rooms and suites will receive a technical upgrade. All rooms will be equipped with AIR CONDITIONING and wireless internet access. A refurbishment of the restaurant and a new health spa to meet the demands of our guests will enchant you in 2007.
