Built in 1896 by Benoite and Jean-Marie Soubirous, younger brother of Saint Bernadette, the Grand Hotel Moderne is a jewel of the architecture of the early XXth. With its frontage Baroque and its decoration Art nouveau, signed Louis Majorelle himself, the Grand Hotel Moderne combines charm, elegance and comfort in the heart of Lourdes. Its 110 rooms, vast and entirely equipped, offer a sight privileged on the sanctuaries or the very close Pyrenees. Its restaurants, Le Salon Majorelle and Le Michelangelo, accommodate the guests in an incomparable decoration where the warm atmosphere of the woodworks mix harmoniously with the marbles and the notched mouldings.
