Don't just call, stay at The CallsThe accommodation hasn't changed in the years since the hotel opened in the early 1990s and is still distinctive and classy. A couple of the nice touches have been dropped(valet parking and the ground floor bar) but for bed and breakfast close to the city centre it takes some beating. Make sure you have breakfast in the River Room; Nigel, the longstanding chef, does a cracking job with first class ingredients. Brasserie 44,next door,is also highly recommended:our dinner there was excellent.

We really liked the hotel. Personal, different and homley, unlike other impersonal places. A converted ware house. Unusual.Resturant looks great but food a bit stogey.

I found this a great hotel to stay on business in Leeds. Rooms are of a very high standard - and tasteful too! (no shabby chic here). Staff very helpful, overall feel of a well put together experience.

Everything you read about this hotel is true. Incredibly helpful staff, unusual ececltic rooms - beautifully appointed (and I was in a lower priced one!) privacy, luxury and comfort - with an interesting urban view, thanks to the much needed re-generation of inner city Leeds. Take up the offer of the hotel parking service and book its driver if you need dropping off locally for shopping, and dining, although I did not arrive in time for an evening meal there was a choice of interesting restaurants on it's doorstep. I was not clear whether these were connected to the Hotel or not but none the less they looked good. Superlative breakfast, - which was a gastronomic meal in itself. I am not sure how this hotel does it - but it does; and at the rate I managed to obtain on laterooms a fabulous treat.

At £99, was fabulous value and a real joy to stay there. Would definitely stay there again if I could get this rate ... and I am in Leeds a lot on business!

Room was very noisy due to being next to, and at eye level to a canal bridge where late night revellers returned to their student digs. Was also woken early on Sunday morning by a crane working on the building next door. No mention was made of this on booking! The room was the size of a cupboard and the bed the size of a small standard double. The hotel bar was unattended by staff, you had to help yourself and write down what you had, however the bar prices were still high and did not reflect the lack of service! In no was is the hotel exclusive or 'boutique'.
