On arrival, the reception was pleasant and welcoming. Our room was on the first floor at the back of the hotel which was very quiet, but probably the furthest room from the stairs! It was compact, without much decor, but it was clean and had everything needed including tea/coffee facilities and an iron. The bed was very soft and extremely comfortable.Parking is a short walk from the hotel and if you didn't know it, you wouldn't find it. We parked in a short term car park in Castle Street before checking in and it was easy to get to from there. There are only about 15-20 spaces in the hotel car park and costs £5/day, but it is secure and staff will check to see if there are spaces available for you.All in all, we had a very pleasant stay.

I have no alternative but to stay here. The company i work for makes the reservation hence I am sure i will be back.The hotel is ok but it depends on the room you are booked into. some rooms face the street and it gets very noisy. Staff are unwilling to take accountability if you ask a direct question or challenge them in a 'its nothing to do with me' attitude.For example, my credit card was debited additional costs after i left the hotel an they didn't tell me. It took days to speak to someone who could send me a receipt for the additional monies.Food is good except if you need the dining room to open at 0700 for breakfast because you are rushing to get to work don't expect doors to open much before 0710 or to expect tea and toast to arrive before 0730.

This hotel is a great place to stay when visiting the Canterbury area. It is right in the tourist area and within walking distance of may attractions. There is also transportation options within a half mile of the hotel that provides access to other areas of England and the European continent.
