This hotel was minutes away from the train station (>5min) and easy to locate (great directions on the website). The staff were extremely helpful, recommended great and affordable places to eat and sites to see. A color coded map was provided. The double bed room was a little small, but that's typical for Europe. Nice large bathroom with tub. The room always smelled wonderful. This hotel offers a BEAUTIFUL outdoor garden, excellent breakfast, and a quaint historical feel. I would definitely stay here again. Venice was wonderful and so was Hotel Abbazia!

This hotel is very close to the train station, so a great place to be when you want to catch a train to another part of Italy (or Europe) after your visit. The neighborhood it is in, Cannareggio, is very residential, which makes for a wonderful experience of local restaurants and culture. We loved the hotel's courtyard and breakfast, and the staff was very friendly. We would stay there again.

Excellent location! Just a few minutes from the train station. Reception staff were friendly. The breakfast was great. The Hotel even provided free umbrellas during rainy days! The only downside was the room got overheated (we couldn't turn down the heating). It would climb up to 30 degrees centegrade.
