This property reflects the ambience of a charming Balinese village. Tropical gardens surround the thatched roof villas and spacious rooms look out over flower gardens and cascading pools. The Family rooms are decorated with Indonesian antiques and local handicrafts lend traditional style to the contemporary facilities, have a full range of facilities, such as mini bars and refrigerators, Satellite Television, laundry and valet services, international direct dialing with internet. The rooms are for 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults only. Family Rooms are measuring 45 sqm accommodates 1 king size bed and 2 single beds, partition by curtains for privacy. The restaurant is located on 2nd floor which serves Indonesian as well as International food. Very unique, small and cozy lobby with antique furniture and local handicraft decoration. This hotel should be classed as 2 star. The first swimming pool was not inviting and had a building site overlooking it very few beds and hardly any greenery to distract from the wall. The pool and area at the back needs renovation. The room we were given was dark damp and needed a renovation even the silver was off the bathroom mirror. Midges seemed to be attacking throughout the night hence not a very good sleep. Very small no nice gardens to walk through or overlook. Location quite near the shops. Had a very nice reception staff were nice. We stayed one night out of 6 went to another hotel Santika in Tuban.Good choice. We went to the Alum KulKul hotel knowing that it was a boutique hotel and seemed to have had a good reputaion. After having stayed a week in a large hotel in Sanur we thought that this was going to be a nice change alas we were more than disappointed my husband who very rarely complains took photographs of the room he was that insensed he wouldn't have stayed one night had we been able to change hotelsthat day.

If you are a couple I recommend you do not stay in the Alam rooms as they are in a three storey complex (with family units) and not at all quiet. I would suggest you upgrade to the Alam Villa they are worth the extra money and you also get benefits to their club lounge which are great.
