A great location ... old fashioned/charming - definitely got character. In this case that means small room, with tiny toilet. However the room was cosy, great bed, nice decor. Staff very helpful - and the location, extremely close to Madeleine and Place de la Concorde was terrific

Great location. Easy access to Champs Elysee and the Opera area. Lots of shops, cafes and restaurant around. And less than 3 mins walk to the Madaleine metro station. The hotel is cozy and has its charm, although the room is quite room - even though we stayed at a Junior Suite. It's clean and comfortable, my only complaint in the room is the use of blanket instead of quilt (though it's quite common in Europe). The bathroom is clean with marble walls, but no shower curtain and it took us a while to figure out how to switch to shower tap. The best feature of the hotel, apart from its excellent location, is the staff. They are professional and helpful. It's an ideal hotel for a short city-break stay.

A lovely Parisean hotel in great locationStayed here for just the one night but it is a very nice hotel. The room itself(a double) was nice and very Parisean. The bathroom was nice and the room comes with the usual tv, tea/coffee and a/c. The staff were very nice and very helpful. Didn't eat there as decided to go out so don't know about the food. It was nice and quiet and the location is superb. A stones throw from Madelene Church and tube station. A short walk to Place de la Concorde and the Louvre. Great choice of restaraunts down the road. In all an excellent place to stay and thru late rooms affordable.

What a disappointmentPictures did not match up. It was convenient location and we felt safe, but the decor was dusty and hodge podge; stains on the ceiling; worn out carpet; stained lamp shades. I pail at the thought of the money we spend when we could have spent less at a quality inn and felt more up-to-date. Staff were very cool.

Initially the hotel made a good first impression..nicely decorated lobbby, but reality soon set in. Our room was very light and airy..others we saw were VERY dark. The location is great..The Madeline district..for easy access to Metro which is very helpful. However, there are virtually no reasonable, adequate restaurants in the immediate area. The room is very quiet ..if you keep the windows shut and air on. If you prefer fresh air, traffic noise is awful..even at late night. Staff were generally unknowledgeable and/or unhelpful unless really pushed. The elevators are unreal..only 1 elevator to each section and the rear elevator holds 3 small persons at a time. One evening we had to wait over 2 hours to get to our room because the elevator was broken( the 2nd time that week)...staff was not too concerned until we seriously pushed. Housekeeping was an adventure..never knew what would-or would not- turn up..some days there were plenty of towels and no soap,,others it was the reverse. However, having a small regrigerator was a nice touch. Beds and linens were OK, nothing great, and the baths were nice. Overall, a very medium hotel..definitely NOT a 4 star, world class facility as their pictures and advertising indicate.
