They provide continental breakfast, which is good and convenient. The non-smoking room still has the smell of smoke and they gave us a room with a defrosting fridge. And water is all over the table, carpet and chair.

Uncomfortable and broken down. This hotel had the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. I was there on business and got in late every night. There were men sleeping on the benches in the parking lot and other selling things. After learning at 10 pm that the shower in my room didn't work, I had to move to a smoking room to have a shower. The manager never tried to correct the situation.

Our daughter is in the Navy, so our purpose was to bring her a car and see a few sights. We went to tour her ship, visit the zoo and go to the beach, all of which were fairly close by. The hotel was quiet but we found a few things not in working condition, TV remote, outdoor pool, van to go to the airport and the continental breakfast was not appetizing. The entrance to the pool and fitness area was inconvenience for guests to get to.

I stayed here for a couple of nights on a business trip. The location was good for me because it was near where I had to be. I walked anyway but it was not fun. The room had a bit of a smell but mostly went away after I ventilated it for a bit. There was a slow leak under the toilet that will cause some real damage if not taken care of. The fridge worked fine. The bed was OK. Not great but not uncomfortable either. I did not use the pool but it looked clean the few times I walked by it and several people were using it with enjoyment. The breakfast was great for me with lots of variety. The staff I had contact with were very friendly. I did not meet any of the cleaning staff but they did clean my room fairly well. I did not get to try out the wireless Internet because my laptop was on the frits (bad Linux install). High speed Internet access is very important to me. I maybe staying here again this weekend and will report on the wireless Internet service. Overall not a great place but then again you are not paying for a great place. Good enough for me.

The price was cheap, but the hotel stunk. Literaly. If smelled so strong of disinfectant that we were getting sick & had to check out and go to another hotel. I love booking with a online travel website, but this hotel was BAD.

I stayed at this hotel a year ago, for one night, and thought it was pretty decent for the low cost. The room we had was big and clean, with a nice bathroom. So when I needed to stay in the area again, I booked a room there. This time we were put in the way back of the property. The view from our window was a barbed wire fence and run-down elementary school. There was trash and beer bottles and cans strewn outside the main entrance door. The room was pretty good -- although we were there for less than 10 hours. It was relatively clean; however, the bathroom was sparse, with no place to put toiletries. The shower was wheelchair-equipped, which meant no place to put soap, shampoo, etc in the shower. (We did not need or request an ADA-compliant room). also, They were out of milk at 6:30 AM in the breakfast area. I would stay here agin only if we could have a room facing the pool/courtyard. The ones in the back are pretty scary.

America's Best Value Inn is NOT America's Best Value....Several of the amenities listed on the website don?t exist! There is no Room Service!! The Shuttle wasn?t running. The Wi-Fi didn?t work. The Rooms are dark, dirty, small and smell funny...I smoke and they smell funny to me...that should tell you something. I requested extra towels when I checked in?they called to tell me at 2AM that they couldn?t find extra towels...what kind of hotel can?t find extra towels??

Boy, were we disappointed! Rooms felt really dirty. There was no microwave as advertised. Coffee pot didnt work. Pool was unusable. Geographical area in Norfolk was scary. Paper thin walls and people yelling all night. We felt very unsafe and left before we originally intended because it was just too unsatisfactory! Very Subpar. Will avoid ever reserving a room sight unseen from this chain again.

Everyone here was very helpful. The housekeeping staff were very helpful and did a good job. If we had a question example -on where something was, they helped us find it or looked it up for us!! Would stay there again for sure!!!!

The America's Best Value Inn was wonderful. I was very surprised because this was my first time staying there. The only flaw in a otherwise perfect room was the fan in the bathroom was not working so the mirror stayed steamy after a shower.

Staff person kept answering the phone during check-in. Then she changed 2 smoking rooms to non-smoking based solely on the fact that the reservation said 'double beds' and "all she had left were kings". Another staff person finally came in and straightened her out. It took a half an hour or longer just to check in. The room itself was nothing special, the front door kept sticking and hard to open from the outside. The A/C must have been leaking because there was a big water spot on the floor beside the table. I was afraid someone might get electrocuted, so I unplugged the floor lamp. Was going to tell them at check out, but couldn't get anyone to wait on me for another half an hour. The couple in front of me were having the same problems I'd had -- one staff person on the desk, no one else would answer the phones, although we saw several going back and forth. I made sure she had the right rooms checked off from the key cards and left.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were a bit small. This hotel has a beautiful lobby, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, well landscaped, quiet, fun pool area all minutes from the beach or shopping and other attractions.

the room was big and spacious for the 60 bucksi paid...i had queen bed tv couch good ac pools yes there were 2 one inside one out were both big and very nice.

They had an indoor pool. The beds were uncomfortable and we had to let the room air out. Overall, it was nice hotel. The staff was nice even after I was not satisfied with the first room given to me. The rooms can use some upgrades but the hotel was still a nice place.
