General Description

The Hotel Arcadia is housed in a building that dates back to 1600 which was the property of an aristocratic Roman family for centuries. In the 1950s, the building was bought by the Spolaore family, who turned it into a hotel, while maintaining the original atmosphere of a Venetian residence. The guests of this charming Venice hotel can still admire the antique stuccoes, bare beams, fine marble and the Venetian-style floors today. Everything is lit up by the typical Venetian windows that look out onto the Strada Nuova. Cordiality and willingness to help characterize our hotel staff, who are always ready to answer your questions and to advise guests about the most interesting spots to visit, the exhibitions on show in the city and the trips that are just a must. One of the services offered by the hotel is a visit to a real glass kiln on the Island of Murano, traveling by free taxi from the hotel to the island. The return journey is at your leisure. Food lovers can also dedicate time to discovering the Venetian food and wine traditions trying out the delicious dishes prepared by the restaurant 'il Gazebo' that is in the same building and where the hotel guests have been granted a special discount.

Great location for people who have heavy baggage!! Only a 5min walk from the station. Opposite side of the city to most of the famous attractions but the walk there was lovely, of course. Breakfast was good.

this hotel is in a great location on the actual island itself. , It was a 5 - 10 minute walk to the hotel from the santa lucia train station and 2 minutes to the guglie ferry stop for a direct boat transfer to the airport - only 12 euro. The rialto bridge and st marks are only a 30 minute walk from the hotel . hotel itself was basic but very very clean. The rooms and bathroom were a good size - awesome value for money

Very close to the train station and easy to find. We had a big room with a bathroom and were very happy. The staff were friendly and spoke good english. Continental breakfast was plentiful. I woukd stay here again

I stayed here for two nights in December and was very impressed, especially for the price. The bed was very comfortable and the room well heated which was a relief from the icy cold weather at the time. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The location was perfect for me as it was less than a minutes walk from the water bus stop. The shower was a little disappointing as it didnt stay hot for long...not sure if it was just a dud fitting. Overall great value for money and a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
