i arrived and was told i ahd to stay in the appollo hotel the first nite as it was booked out. when i did stay on the second nite i wish i didnt. service is rubbish, its in a very bad area, surrounded by prostitutes and rooms are like something from the dark ages. none of the locals seem to know where it is so u have to pay for taxi. stay away!!!

This is a cheery little hotel, with absolutely lovely staff on the front desk. Rooms are small and nothing special, but clean with nicely tiled ensuite bathrooms. The hotel has a free computer in the lobby, and hotel-wide free wifi. Breakfasts are provided in the morning, they aren't anything special, but at least you'll get to fill your belly before going off sightseeing. The location (Omonia) is a little seedy and run-down but doesn't feel dangerous to tourists. The major sights are about a 30 minute walk, whilst the National Archaeological Museum is only a 10 minute stroll around the corner. This hotel is very good value for the price.
