Breakfast was minimalistic in the extreme. Rooms were small, very noisy (from street), need re-decorating, but clean.

I've used the Arriva Hotel for the last couple of years, for one- or two-night stays. Its strengths are firstly, great location especially if you're using Kings Cross or St Pancras trains, two, outstanding value for money for a central London bed, thirdly, clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. I've never had a disturbed night's sleep. The staff are cheerful and helpful. The weakness (justified by the value for money) is the compact bathrooms. It's not the sort of hotel where you sit around the lounge taking afternoon tea - I've never bothered taking breakfast and have always left the hotel by 9am and not returned before 11pm, but if you're just looking for a cheap and reliable base, it's highly recommended.

Very good location for St Pancras, Kings Cross and Euston stations. Room was very small but clean and tidy. Everything you could need for a one night stay. Ensuite shower room was small but clean and furnished to a modern standard. We were fortunate to get a room away from the road and over looking a rather over grown garden hence we had a quiet night. Walls between rooms a bit thin so prey for quiet neighbours. Breakfast basic but adequate.

OK for an overnight stop but don't expect anything special. You get what you pay for. Staff pleasant enough, rooms clean but a little scruffy. Half the lights didn't work! Kettle near impossible to fill, had to use cups as small sink. Huge fridge in bedroom seems odd and unecessary. No shower gel and bar of soap had been used. Breakfast - Toast & Cereal.

The hotel is basic but clean and everything you should expect for the price you are paying. Don't expect to be staying in a big room - there was very little space between the end of the bed and the wall. Very good location with respect to Kings Cross station (5 minutes walk). 24 hr reception was courteous and helpful.

£50 per night for a double room is fairly good value. The hotel is located within walking distance of Kings X tube etc., so easy enough to get to, the rooms and en-suite were clean and I had the rare opportunity to use a television remote control, whats not to love?

My stay was fine I was on a course and it made a perfect base. The room was basic but very clean. The breakfast was delivered very efficiently, although the dining room was a little drab.I would have no hesitation staying again for an over night stay.

too noisy to sleepon a busy main road, was too noisy to get to sleep and you should not put non smokers above the doorway where you can inhale fumes. Also the people nextdoor to us could be heard talking loudly throughout the early hours of the morning.

On arrival we were an hour early to check in so had to come back later but could put our bags ina lugguge room. The room was tiny with just enough space to work around the bed. The windows were not secure and the wind constantly banging against it was rather annoying when trying to sleep. The shower was a dribble of water not even enough to remove soap suds. Our stay was just an over night stay luckily so was not really in the room long enough but if i was staying longer i would not have been happy with staying in that room another night.Overall wouldnt use hotel again.

Very dissappointed with the breakfast facility, 2 pieces of toast and some cereal, not what I was expecting from a continental breakfast. Very small breakfast room compared to number of rooms the hotel has.

I had to ask three times and had to wait half hour for an iron. Apparantly they only have two iron for 100+ rooms. Breakfast was appalling and there were some dodgy looking electrics being installed in the foyer. However on the whole this place is pretty good value for money. Room was basic but then it only cost £65 for a double ensuite room near Kings Cross so you can't really grumble too much...

I have seen some bad reviews about the Arriva hotel which made me a little worried, but when I arrived there I had a very nice stay, my room was very comfort, the bathroom was brand new, and the hotel is generally seems to be new relinquished, I had a wifi access in my room, and was mini fridge freezer in the room, TV and hair drier, also coffee and tea,in the morning I had a full continental breakfast with cheese and ham served with butter and bread and lots of other things. The Reception staff guided me to park my car in the nearest car park which is few minutes walk from the hotel. and offered me a free London map.on my check out I also left my luggage in the hotel luggage room and picked them up later it's a free service.I will come again to this hotel and I would recommend it to all of you also.

Excellent proximity to Kings Cross station. The room was small, but clean. It was a good place to stay while we toured London and went to the room to crash. The room had a very small bathroom w/shower, a television, fridge and a hair dryer. The bed was comfortable. Some outside street noise (we were on ground level), but it did not pose much of a problem. No air conditioning, so the window needed to be up. Had a hard time at first keeping the window up. The front desk gave us a business card to fold and stick in the window jam. This did help keep the window up, but they never sent a maintenance person to actually fix the problem. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful.
