Great location. Staff not always the friendliest. I would recommend it and return, without a doubt.

Great hotel with a great view if you get the right room. The bathroom was a little lacking and was very small. The shower had absolutely no pressure. Overall very good though. Second night there was a family with small kids next to us that we could hear, but it did not interfere with our sleep at least.

Great location. Room heater units were malfunctioning (however they did provide a space heater). The hotel was very appeasing to the eyes and senses. Everything looked great and was comfortable. We felt the room could of had more lighting though.

Very nice hotel. Initially gave me the wrong room but quickly corrected the problem. Very good location near restuarants, shopping & mass transit. My complaints fairly minor - lack of drawer space for clothes and maybe could of used an additional garbage pail but I would consider staying here again if I was ever in the Chicago area again.

Excellent size room and closet. No whirlpool in swimming pool area. Hotel was fairly new, has excellent sized rooms, very comfortable bed and furniture. The Sky Lounge on the 40th floor has an excellent view of Lake Michigan. The rooftop pool was nice, but was open, and the weather this weekend was too cool to allow use.

"I was very pleased with this hotel. The staff was very nice and answered any questions we had about the area. The location was GREAT!!!! We only had to get a taxi to Navy Pier, you could go most other places by walking or the free trolleys. We will stay here again!! Also, great view of the city from the pool on the 40th floor."

Bed was very comfortable. No vending machines. The Avenue Hotel was conveniently located close to great shopping, was within walking distance of several of our trip's activities, and close to bus stops to the museums we visited. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view. We had a delicious meal at the restaurant located off the lobby, however the restaurant located on the fortieth floor was closed during the time of our stay. There were no vending machines in the hotel. The staff at the Avenue Hotel was very friendly and courteous.

It was very nice. We had a great time, the hotel was very nice for the money. We checked in and the agent was very courteous and friendly. He put us in a corner suite that was spacious and very comfortable. The key didn't work the first time but it was promptly fixed. The bedroom lamps came unplugged from behind bed and maintenance responded very well. We needed toothpaste and housekeeping delivered very promptly. Everyone responded very well.

Huge guest rooms, posh bathroom, LCD TV, iPod ready stereo. $48 a day to park our car overnight. The Avenue Hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. The guest rooms are HUGE and feature a number of luxury features. Little perks like a second movable mirror in the bathroom, a luxury showerhead, and an abundance of towels, an iHome stereo, an LCD TV and free wireless internet were just the beginning. The Avenue Hotel puts you within steps of some of the best dining and shopping on the Magnificent Mile - and just one block east of Michigan Avenue, too!

It was updated in our room and being renovated in other parts. The renovation was noisy. The hotel room was beautiful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were very comfortable and felt very safe there.

We had a minor disagreement regarding a charge. While front desk staff was polite, they didn't resolve it while we were there. When I had a bit of time and wrote explaining the situation in more detail, the hotel responded quickly, thoughtfully and respectfully in considering the issue. All in all, excellent service and very helpful when asking directions, recommendations etc. Would definitely stay there again when in Chicago! Location is excellent, easy to get to just about anywhere!

We only stayed for 1 night. But, would definitely recommend. Front desk wasn't friendly at all, didn't see a bell hop and we didn't need the doorman. However, the room was gorgeous, with a fabulous King sized bed and pillows. The furniture in the room was very attractive a lovely full sized leather couch with a zebra striped chair, a full sized desk, and nice TV. Free wi fi was a plus. The bathroom was like in any motel to be honest, small bath with a shower, but did appreciate the hairdryer. The Sky Bar was nice, it was a very wet day and it was nice to sit by the fire and have a cocktail. The bartender was lovely, she heard our accents, knew we from out of town and gave us some great suggestions. The Elephant and Castle adjacent to the hotel was great for breakfast and doesn't break the bank. The location was excellent - right on Miracle Mile. Got a great deal through travel website and would definitely stay there again. We knew about the parking charges ahead of time so we did some research and found 24 hour parking a block away for about $32. We were meeting up with friends who were staying at the Omni for a lot more money and they loved our room. Believe me they paid way more than us!

The location of this hotel is central to shopping and dining on the Miracle Mile. Also, the NWU campus is just a block away. The room was spacious and very clean and we had a great view of both Michigan Avenue and Lake Michigan--definitely recommend a higher floor for the view! I am VERY picky about beds, bedding and pillows and have to say that I slept like a baby. (this is almost never the case, for me) The lobby is no-frills, but who spends time in the lobby? The staff was very friendly, helpful and accomodating. I found out at check out that you can request an additional fridge in your room if you need it --in additon to the mini-bar. Very helpful if you travel with children, as I did. They practically bent over backward to make sure that we were happy and comfortable here. It was a positive experience and I have to say that I will definitely stay here again.

Great location. We were able to walk almost everywhere. Valet parking is 48 a night but that worked out since we were on foot. We felt pampered. Everyone was very nice and made us feel welcomed. We will return in the future. Be careful with the stocked fridge. We moved a few things to place something in the fridge and were charged automatically for those items. However we put them back and the hotel removed the charges immediately and without question. We were very impressed with the overall service given.

Great location, great bar/restaurant, attractive rooms. Staff confusion at checkout, facilities not complete, furniture in room awkward setup. Excellent location right off Michigan Avenue, convenient to many sights and restaurants. Attractive decor, and great bar/restaurant (Elephant and Castle). The furniture was awkwardly arranged (we had to rearrange it so we didn't bump into chairs in the night), and the pool was not complete. Once that is done, it will be a better hotel.

We stayed here for our 1st trip to the Windy City. Couldn't have been a better choice. 1 block off Michigan Avenue (Mag Mile) and walkable to many attractions and shopping. The Simmons Beautyrest Signature pillow top beds make you want to sleep all day despite a fantastic city to explore (I had to look under the sheets for the type of bed it was--was sooooooooo comfortable!) Get a CTA 1-2- or 3-day pass to ride unlimited on the subways and busses. I would definitely return here. Got a GREAT deal on the travel website, plus a $50 gas card. For a little over $$$/night in the nation's 3rd largest city--ya just cant beat it!

Loved that the room was large and spacious. The ice machine was nearby and very loud. It was a great place to come back to after a long day walking around the city. There wasn't much of a view because it was near a bunch of other tall buildings, but the room was spectacular. The restaurant in the hotel was kind of pricy but it served food until 11 pm. One day the maid must have forgotten to give us new towels. I would highly suggest this hotel.

Clean, good location, friendly and helpful staff. The common areas were under construction. This is a clean hotel in a good location just off Michigan Avenue. It is under renovation and will not be a Radisson much longer, according to signs posted in the lobby. That may lead to changes.

Concierge was fabulous. It was nice to have a free business center and free WiFi at the hotel. The location was superb. The hotel did not have enough channels on TV. The minibars werent stocked and there weren't any vending machines. Overall, I was very pleased. It was a great value and I would stay there again.

The hotel room was really nice. The Avenue is under construction, we heard banging and sawing. The staff was not accommodating. The Avenue has a tiny lobby, with non-accommodating staff members. We believe the staff treated us like second-class citizens. The hotel is still under construction and in your hotel rooms you can hear the banging and sawing. We were on the 37th floor and still heard the traffic from the streets. However, there is a roof top pool and the rooms are very nice.

I have traveled to Chicago numerous times and stayed at many hotels but The Avenue is the best by far. I booked two junior suites which turned out to be even more beautiful than the photos, lots of space and the view was incredible from the 30th floor. The rooftop pool was beautiful although it was a bit too chilly to try it out. The front desk staff was kind, extremely helpful and made us feel right at home. There was a cozy little fire place in the lobby and lots of comfortable seating. The location was perfect for roaming around downtown and visiting all of the stores. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant so I cannot comment on that. However, if it is anything like the rest of our stay I'm sure you won't be dissapointed. I will definitely stay here again. The only downside was the wait time for our car, you have to valet and it could have been that we just didn't time it right but we did have to wait about 15 minutes for them to bring the car around, but hey it's Chicago so we did lots of people watching while we waited so it wasn't that bad.

We were upgraded to a suite after air conditioner malfunction in our initial room. The malfunction of the air conditioner and the sirens from a nearby hospital at night. A remodeled mid scale hotel that has morphed into a boutique hotel. The location makes the hotel along with the price. First night air conditioner did not work properly. We were upgraded to suite which had outstanding views of lake. The cleaning staff was wonderful, but a few more front desk people are needed. Overall, a good experience for the price. If you are looking for high end luxury, this is not the hotel for you. If it is a reasonable, well-located, family friendly hotel you want, then this is it.

Parking 48.00 on top of the high price to just stay for the night. I believe a 4 star hotel should meet the needs of not just the business traveler for the price you pay! would not recommend for a family. Plus if you wanted to use a fridge in the room you had to pay 20.00+ I have never hear of such a thing. No pool. Nothing for relaxation. $48.00 to park in their lot! Only good for business.
