Ayre Gran Via is located in the city centre, next to the 'Fira de Barcelona' (Montjuic exhibition centre) in Plaza Espana. It is really close to historical quarter. Ayre Hotel gran Via offers its guests a total of 189 totally soundproof rooms designed for maximum comfort. All have a fully-fitted bathroom with professional hairdryer, magnifying mirror and direct telephone. All our rooms are equipped with the latest technology: 25-inch interactive satellite TV with private pay channels, Internet connection, safety deposit box, Minibar (water), central heating and separate air conditioning. We also have 4 rooms especially designed and adapted for disabled guests. There are meeting rooms available, with capacities from 10 to 85 people, all of them equipped with audiovisual material so that we can assure the success of your meetings. You will be able to sample a great variety of healthy and tasty Mediterranean dishes in our day light restaurant. And for your total comfort, there is a car park in the same building.

My wife and I were very impressed with this hotel and would highly recommend it. The room was very clean and modern and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room had a fridge which was stocked with water each day , a safety deposit box and TV. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great . We stayed at the front of the hotel and there was traffic noise but it didn't disrupt our stay however there are quieter rooms to the rear of the hotel if you prefer but you don't have any view from these. The hotel is located at Placa Espanya which is the first stop on the Airport Bus approx 15 mins from the airport . The metro and tour bus stop is also located here and we would recommend both of these for getting around. There are lots of smaller shops and restaurants nearby , an art museum and water fountains which are all wonderful. Barcelona is a great city with lots to see and do and this hotel is the perfect base for sightseeing and enjoying the city about a 15 - 20 min walk from the centre. Beware of the pick pockets as they are everywhere in the city. We found that the best food was in the quieter areas near the hotel rather than in the centre or at the harbour.We hope to go back again and will use this hotel.

This hotel is lovely and the receiption staff were most helpful. The location is perfect for getting around the City. Would definately recommend the tour bus for two days.

Great valueWe were delighted with our room as it was what we had expected with its modern decor, plasma TV, desk, modern large showroom....although the room itself was a little on the smaller side. My only problem was air conditioning wasn't working in our room, and within 2 minutes an engineer showed up and amazingly fixed it. We would have been offered an alternative room had it not been fixed. The minibar fridge was not chilly enough for our water but did keep it cold. Being so close to the city centre and the metro station made it a convenient location and one of the main reasons why we chose this hotel. It is walkable (depending on how fit you are) to the sea promenade We had a wonderful time in the room and enjoyed our stay immensely. It is great value for money and provides the quality that we were expecting. service was great, the can that we booked in the early morning was waiting for us when we stepped out fo our lift. We did not have the breakfast and glad, because a buffet was not provided. However, we generally don't eat large breakfasts anyhow. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel.

We were both very impressed with the hotel. It was in a good position in the city for access to all the sights. The hotel staff were excellent, very helpful and polite. In particular the bar and restaurant staff were a pleasure to deal with, Nicolas, Navy and Juliet made our stay even more enjoyable.Our room was at the front of the hotel, traffic sounds were barely audible, the only noise you could hear was the odd ambulance every now and again, but I think you could hear these from anywhere.We would definitely use this hotel again, it was clean, modern and in a good place.

Hotel really easy to get to/from the airport - bus stop practically outside door. Tube station just down the road, so brilliant for travel. 20 minute walk to main spots. Very comfortable room. Great shower. Air conditioned and double glazed as on quite a busy (car noise) road. Not a cosy hotel, quite modern and anonymous. Room keycards so no need to go to reception really. Room service (not that we used it) Didn't have time to check out the restaurants and cafes nearby so not sure about that. We were very happy with it.
