The Barefoot Yacht and Resort was a very clean, very nice place to stay. My family and I loved it. It was well furnished with all the comforts of home. There were two Queen size beds in each bedroom with a bathroom in each one. It was decorated beautifully. Full kitchen with everything you needed. There was a dishwasher, washer and dryer, coffee pot, toaster, iron and ironing board, very nice stove with pots and utensils, a microwave, and even champagne glasses, dishes, etc. There was a tv with dvd/vcr in each room. I was in heaven. The view from both of the balconies was awesome! I would definitely recommend this resort to others. It was in a great location with many restaurants and things to do right at your feet. I didn't want to leave.

Nice big room, bath room and a great patio view from the 7th floor ...however the stay was disappointing. The first shock is this is a time-share renting extra capacity. The staff is rude and unavailable. We booked two nights. On the second day arriving back at the room at 9:15 pm to discover the bed had not been made nor were the used towels replaced with clean ones. Additionally, this is booked at Orbitz through [...] who close early and open late ..there was never anyone to call for service. Additionally, they will ask you to sign a document at check-in that they have no responsibility for air-conditioning or appliances to be in working order ...Not Family friendly and the resort takes no interest in rooms rented by Orbitz ... I would not recommend this as it's just a room, no services and rude staff.

The Barefoot resort is a very, very nice place to stay. I'm glad that this was not my first visit. When I checked in, I was assigned to a different building/room. The change meant the room and overall building were not as nice. The staff assured me that the accomodations were the same nad said that it was a benefit to have a view of the pool. However, I chose to check it for myself before agreeing. The size of the room was the same but, there were differences. The unit that I reserved was very well maintained and has television, vcr, and dvd in each room. The unit that they assigned me to was adequate but, not as nice. Upon returning to the registration area and requesting the nicer building, the staff seemed to have a problem. The manager that I initially spoke with had left and the staff seemed to have a problem. When describing the situation to the supervisor on duty, it was termed as, . . . she doesn't want that room. the sentiment was too bad. The supervisor explained that the pricing was different. I directed her attention to the brochures on their counter that listed identical pricing for both units. She didn't care but, directed the staff to contact the business office and find out what room was booked. This call verified that I booked the nicer room and was changed for some unknown reason. It sounded like the person in the business office inquired about my age. Perhaps they have an age requirement for the nicer building. At this time, another staffer returned from lunch. He was present when I spoke with the manager about the room. The manager had already approved me being changed if I didn't like the accomodations. The returning staff person pointed out the available room list that was printed for this reason. All in all, it took an hour to register. The nicer room was worth the time but, your customers shouldn't have to go through this. I was very careful to select the building that I stayed in previously. We had a great trip.

No one came to clean room for the three days that we stayed there. The linen was never changed and when requesting clean toweLs was told that was an additional charge. There was no iron available and we had to actually clean our room to stay there for three nights and four days.
