General Description

This hotel is located just outside the centre of Interlaken. It is set in its own pretty gardens. Interlaken West station is a 10minute walk away. This is a really high class 3 star hotel which puts many 04stars to shame. The rooms with no facilities allow you to experience it at a discount. It comes highly recommended. 0108SR. This is an attractive traditional stone built building, decorated with colourful flower baskets. The lobby gives an excellent first impression. It is attractively decorated with lots of traditional rustic touches. There is limited seating. The restaurant is located on the ground floor just off the lobby. Long windows down two sides of the room give onto the pretty mature gardens, whilst the room itself has a cosy, rustic feel. The rooms with no facilities are small and as the name suggests they are not equipped with private bathrooms. However, they are decorated in a similar cosy style to the standard rooms and therefore the quality is still very much ok. The communal bathrooms are located along the corridor - really not so inconvenient. 1 km to the nearest station (interlaken west), 1 kms to city centre, 1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 180 kms to the airport (zurich), 250 kms to the airport (geneve-cointrin).
