Dinner in restaurant was very good, and great value for money. Breakfast less so - had to wait a while, and there wasn't much choice on the contintental side. Cooked food was fine, but not great.Room was large, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean, nice toiletries and great shower.Price from laterooms was great - not sure I'd pay rack rate for leisure visit, though.

Lovely midrange hotel in tranquil setting by a park really freindly staff very welcoming excellent value for money nice interiors stay here i i bet it will exceed your expectations it did mine ! Will be coming back for sure

The room was clean and comfortable. However the old sash windows rattled through out the night like fire crackers going off due to which I had a very bad night, waking up tired.

The hotel was very clean, reception greeting was very friendly and straight forward, the room was clean and had everything to hand that we needed, couldn't fault this hotel in any way I will definately stay there again and the location was excellent.

Was a lovely recently renovated room--only one complaint. Shower instead of bathtub, and there was no other option. Pity.

The room smelled strongly of smoke, despite my requesting a no-smoking room. The room was also very hot, but leaving a window open was not really an option because there was a noisy air-conditionng vent or something outside the room. When I arrived there was only one towel in the bathroom, but a call to reception produced another in 20 minutes or so.At £100 per night I expected better. I stayed in central Manchester the following evening and paid just over half the price for a better room.

Wining and DiningWhile the stay in the hotel was more than satisfactory, I was not altogether satisfied with the quality of service in the restaurant. I am aware that some people like to linger over a meal but I found it rather tedious to have to spend an hour and a half over a two course meal. The time between courses could have been better with the one course being cleared and the next course being ordered that much quicker. Staff should be aware whether or not the diners are deep in conversation or are obviously waiting for service. The same goes for the time taken for the bill to be presented for signature. It should not take more than a minute or two between the bill being asked for and it being presented at table.
