I am a group leader and took a large group for a leisure trip. Upon arrival the computers were down and it took them 3hrs to get us all checked in. The elevators were down so we had to carry luggage up to the top floor and I had handicapped elderly with me. They charged my credit card for the deposits for all rooms and I was unable to use my credit card to go shopping while in Miami. The beach and boardwalk were nice and close. The security guard was very helpful and showed us how to walk a block over and take the bus down to South Beach for entertainment, dining and shopping. That was the bomb. Nothing is really in walking distance from the hotel due to major construction on the street. No activities on the property. A small bar upstairs was nice but closed early due to its location being next to guest rooms. Pool is small but the beach was fun. Overall I would not recommend my group to stay there again.

Great access to beach, clean and central. The pool is very small. I thought the hotel was very nice. Everyone was really helpful. The hotel is in a great area for those who travel with small children and usually do not go to Miami beach. I loved everything about the hotel except for the pool it is way to small for such a big hotel.

Very nicely kept and clean and location. Night shift manager hung up the phone on me and was very rude. The rooms are very nicely renovated and very clean the bed and pillows very comfortable the beach and pool were great.

The location: good, breakfast: tasty, internet access wasexcellent, room wasclean. I was given a handicap room: no tub, concrete view, valet parking $15 per night! The hotel was in a very good location, beach access was easy, the neighborhood looked like it was on the way up: construction of a new building on one corner and renovation on another. The hotel was basic: clean with no frills. Many families seemed to be enjoying the hotel and the location. The value was good.

Stayed three nights. Great Hotel. Very nice view. Clean rooms and lobby. Awsome staff. I would stay agin. Parking was not as bad as every one makes it. Pull up and load and unload at front door, on street parking with meters from 8am to 6pm 6pm to 8am free on street or parking garage across the street one block $20 for 24hrs. Overall its a great place. $8 to$10 cab to get anywhere in South Beach. Very Very nice!!!!!!!

Very outdated rooms. Great oceanfront view (only good thing). Rude staff. Laundry machines old and not properly working. Parking was a NIGHTMARE - far and VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!! Restrauant NOT good AND overpriced!!

Very misleading. Check in is a big mess and only one front desk person is available. The floors are sticky and the pool towels are old. The pool is the size of a jacuzzi. No one is helpful unless you insist to be helped. It is very far from any restaurant or bar. After all that...they double charged our card by mistake and then took 24 hours to send a fax to our bank to explain the mistake. We had to call them about 20 times before they did anything! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This is not the cheapest hotel on Miami Beach and you can do better!

There are two good things about the hotel - won't break the bank to stay there and the hotel is in a good location (directly on the beach and near stores). The bad things at the hotel are they are extremely busy all the time and it's hard to get questions answered. They put us in a room next to a ice machine where everyone all times of the morning and at night got ice, and the garage always opened and it had a screeching noise, so we didn't sleep. One time we came home from being out all day and our hotel room door was left open and our room wasn't finished from the maid service.

The concierge was very helpful; location is good access. No parking; rooms facing lobby - music played very loud in the lobby in the morning. Not happy; the room was freezing; had to ask for someone to come take a look twice before I finally got a heater in the room; the control did not work; asked for shower caps twice - never received it; Music in the lobby played very loudly in the morning and our room was facing the lobby on the 2nd floor. There is no counter space in the bathroom to place personals. Not happy at all.

Free wireless internet; great staff andnice view. Room had ants; elevator didn't work; uncomfortable bed. The common areas of this hotel are nice, but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. The walls are paper-thin - so much so that I could hear the guy in the next room snoring all night. On the upside, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the wireless internet access was free.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Cheap furniture, harsh lighting in public areas. The hotel had a restaurant and bar. But room furnishings were cheap and the ambiance in the public areas institutional. I've been in hospitals with better atmosphere. To be fair, the pool area was nice, overlooking the ocean with beach access. The staff was super friendly. The bell captain actually took pity on my wife while she was waiting for me to come get her and our luggage (the parking garage was a block down the street); he actually bought her a cup of coffee from a Cuban deli a couple doors down from the hotel. The location is pretty good - located about 25 blocks north of South Beach; the rooms and all public areas were clean.

If ocean front room, great view! Limited parking options. Great view. Ideal mid beach location in a quiet family area that is just 2 miles from the south beach attractions.

The hotel was located right on the beach. The hotel was not located near many inexpensive restaurants. The Fairfield Miami Beach is a safe, inexpensive hotel located right on the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable if not luxurious. I would have enjoyed my stay more if there were more inexpensive dining options within close walking distance, but this is a problem with all Miami Beach hotels. There were times when I would have liked to just grab a cheap salad from McDonald's.
