Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. Coffee and fruit was always availably in lobby. Hotel recommended a small Italian eatery that had been in business 45years. Very good meal !!

When we arrived our room wasn't ready, the hotel staff quickly moved us into a better room. They were very plesant/helpful with directions to area attractions. We would stay here again and recommend it to travelers.

Liked hotel on way south so decided to stay there again on the trip back home. Hotel was very good again and staff seemed to know us from earlier trip. We said we would stay there again in previous review and and we really did do it.

Visited Monterey with my teenager prior to his birthday. We arrived 30 minutes prior to the check in time and the staff was helpful. However, we were shocked when we got to our 3rd floor room to discover no air conditioning and the temperature was well into the 80s. As heat does rise, we called the front desk and asked for fans. Some rooms had ceiling fans, ours did not. We were given two table top fans. I did try to open the windows, but one did not have a screen and I was not in the mood to have bugs in my room also. It did cool down in the evening but we had to close the window at 11pm due to noisy guests and/or residents of the apartment complex behind the hotel. We also found a problem with the TV; upon warming it would compress the picture to a few inches. I did not complain as it eventually went away. My son brought his game system but was unable to use it with the TV. He also used the pool, but reported to me that it was very dirty with dead bugs and leaves and dirty and did not seem to have much chlorine in it. He was very itchy after he got out and I had him shower immediately. I don't believe we will stay here again. I don't feel I got value for my dollar. Especially when the Motel 6 across the street appeared to have air conditioning and was probably much cheaper.
