The Best Western Hibiscus Key West is one of the best values for the money we have every experienced. This is a little gem of a motel, with all the features one needs, at much less than other local motels. The rooms are big and well-appointed. A good breakfast was included. Hotel staff was courteous. Two very minor criticisms: 1) It was extremely hot when we were in Key West, and the pool temperature was very warm - not refreshing. 2) Staff cleaned our room around 4 - 5 PM every day. It would have been nicer to have them clean when we were out during the day.

Big rooms, clean room, clean pool/spa and good breakfast. Great location to be just off Duval but not on the party end. Close to beach (though construction obstructed beach access this time) and walking distance to Mallory square and Duval shops (too long a walk for small kids maybe, though - around 10 blocks). Not enough seating in lobby for breakfast, but folks made do. Nice to have free internet in lobby (one computer) to look up sites and events on the net.

Both our car rental and rooms had been cancelled by error (NOT by Hibiscus staff). We arrived with no vehicle and nowhere to stay. Management provided rooms which were available for only part of our stay in Key West and worked diligently finding other last minute hotel rooms for us. Hibiscus had good continental breakfast with pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, fresh sqeezed orange juice, and tea. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the pool was beautiful, the rooms were clean and spacious. We will definitely stay at the Hibiscus again.

The Hibiscus was fine! Room and amenities were very nice. Pool was too warm. Location was a bit farther from Old Town area than expected but okay for walkers. Staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Originally for the price we got the room for July 4th we expected to have a cheesy room and we were prepared for that. It was a very exciting to see the hotel to be spacious, clean and with nice decor. The beds were good and so were the pillows. The room was quiet so you didn't hear your neighbors BIG +. It's one block east from Duval, so you can jump on the scooter and be at the hot spot in a flash. Its the best hotel I have been in so far and especially in Key West..... Also the internet is free.... The pool was clean and big and they have a jacuzzi that hit the spot.. The only negative is they have pool hours 9 am to 10pm but other than that.... it will be my place of stay the next time I head to Key West and for that matter I will book with Best Western for other trips as well. PS they give good free breakfast if you wake up by 10 am. Most important the AC blows ....bbbrrrrrr.....

This hotel is one street north of Duval St. It's within walking distance to everything you want to see and do in Key West (only a 1 mile walk to Mallory Square, a few blocks from Southern Most Point and Butterfly Conservatory, and all the shops/bars on Duval St). My family (myself, husband, 2 kids -ages 8 & 11) felt very safe walking these streets even after dark. The room was quite spacious with two sinks and a fridge and the beds were comfortable. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. Breakfast in the morning didn't have the selection we are used to at Marriott hotels but we were able to find coffee, tea, juice, cereals, fruit, bagels, etc. to our liking. If we ever feel the need to visit Key West again we would definitely stay here.

Ants in bathroom. Management did respond to complaint quickly by spraying, but the
ants were back the next morning. Floors did not appear to have been vacuumed recently, beds were uncomfortable and blanket on bed had a bad smell. Would not stay here again.

Hotel was great. Convenient, yet quite. A little pricey, but it was that time of year. You have to give a little. the continental breakfast was good and nurishing. Pool was very nice and clean. Room service was good and a great location as is located one block from Duval St. We rented bikes, which was the best way to get around. We will stay here again.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how spacious and nice this motel was! It looked great on the internet pictures but they did not do it justice. The location was good, just a couple of blocks from Duval but a few blocks away from the heart of Duval. But it was still within walking distance. I will definitely stay here when I go back to the Keys!!!

The rooms are large and recently updated. The motel is close to Old Town, Beaches, Great Dining and the pool keeps the kids entertained during down time. This is probably the best lodging value in the old section of Key West.
