The hotel staff and food is great. I had lived in Germany and knew what to expect from older hotels in the inner part of old town. They can be a little warm. The problem: No air movement and 29 C (85F) in my small single room at 3 am in the morning even though it had cooled down outside. I checked out early and was penalized a fee plus one night charge. For 20 Euros a night more I got a nice suite at the Stuttgart Maritim that included AC, work desk, and a very handy SMART rental car.
