The Best Western Le Donjon Les Remparts and its licensed restaurant have a unique location at the very heart of the ancient Cather fortress city of Carassonne. We are located two kilometers from tennis, horseback riding and five kilometers from golf courses. The Best Western Le Donjon Les Remparts is made up of three different buildings: Le Donjon, Le Clos Trencavel and La Maison des Remparts. Our hotel has a restaurant and lounge, four conference rooms which will accommodate up to 100 guests, business services and a reception area with television and reading lounge. Our guest rooms are equipped with television, telephone with dataports and Wi-Fi access, coffee/tea maker, hairdryer, air-conditioning, and room service. Elevators are available for your use in La Maison du Donjon and in La Maison des Remparts.

Get here about 4pm, leave your car and luggage in the outer car park for Hotel guests and walk to the Donjon. They will bring your car inside the City at 6pm and your luggage to your room. Great service. You will have time to see some sights and shop as the hordes leave the city. You get an early start next day and a chance to see the chateau before the masses arrive. You can drive yourself out of the City before 12 and that is quite an experience with narrow streets full of people. The Donjon staff are great but they should provide free Wifi. The room we had (25) was fine, but incredibly small, which made it feel overprced!
