The hotel is very well placed for exploring the Left Bank and close to the Sorbonne. The hotel is OK but a bit dingey, the room small and basic. The bathroom contained the smallest shower cubicle I've ever been in!

My friend and I went to Paris on June 19th and as we got to Paris late, we decided to take a taxi from CDG airport, this cost approx 50 euro. I have to admit, I'm not a timid driver but this was a bit too exciting...if you don't have to please consider getting the train to Gar du Nord instead!The hotel itself was fine, the guy on reception was really friendly, he upgraded our room and we ended up on the top floor with a balcony and a fantastic view of Notre Dame, which was a lovely suprise as I would have thought this would be saved for a double room not a twin. Yes the lift is small but to be honest there are only 6 flights of stairs so one of us got in the lift with the cases while the other ran upstairs.The room was clean, we had air con (which wasn't great so we had the balcony doors open) and the bathroom was fine. There was a flat screen tv in the room but to be honest we didn't bother using it. We didn't eat in the hotel because there are so many great places to eat nearby. You really couldn't have a better base to explore Paris. We didn't realise that we would be there during La festival du musee, everywhere you looked there were different bands playing and music from all around the world. We went to the Eifel tower and listened to some Aussie guys playing their didgs. It was amazing, and went on through the early hours but all the time we were out we didn't feel in any way threatened; however I digress...back to the hotel. As we were leaving really early, the receptionist let us book out on the last night and also arranged for another taxi to take us to the airport. Our taxi driver managed to lock his keys in the car when he came to get us and suddenly the very serious night receptionist was laughing his socks off and very kindly booking us another taxi!I'm suprised that there would be any negative comments about this hotel, it was lovely and to be honest I'm definately going to book this place whe we go again next year.

It was close to all the attractions. Air conditioner and TV didn't work. Air conditioner and TV didn't work, we were moved to another room and the AC didn't work there either, that was a disappointment.

Great location, very quiet from outside noise. Interior hall a little noisy, typical tiny rooms. This hotel is just outside the major tourist areas near St. Michel, Latin Qtr, etc., but was pretty quiet. The bed room and bathroom were small but very clean, flat screen TV on the wall, AC worked well. We didn't eat breakfast there, but there are plenty of cafes, Starbucks and even McDonalds around the corner. It is very close to CUNY Metro, but another 2 blocks to St. Michel.
