I went to NY for work, and for me, it was a perfect little hotel. I was so close to Times Square, that I walked to all my meetings. The room was cleaned, all the time, and the staff was very kind and willing to help me all the time. I recommend this hotel, because it's comfortable for staying, safe and close to all the fun parts of NY.

I liked that it was so close to Times Square the room was very small, trash in the hallway This hotel is located a block off Times Square. you can't beat the location. Seemed to be in a state of disregard most of the time. It seems there might have been some construction. And it seemed like there was always bags of trash or towels when I got off the elevator on my floor. Plus the elevators were slow. My room was very small but the furniture was very nice and the room was always nicely cleaned when I got back to it.

If one is interested in theatre in NY this is a perfect place to stay--just a walk away from most shows. Lots of small venues for a quick meal. Room adequate and clean. Modern bathroom. Price not escessive as most hotels in NYC.

Price for New York City. Room was tiny and next to elevator. The hotel has a good location and was a good price performer for New York City rates. However, my room was barely larger than the bed in it, was next to the elevator and looked out a small shaft between two wings of the hotel. The primary pluses were that the room was relatively clean and was nearly $50 per night cheaper than any other hotel I was able to identify in mid-town Manhattan..

The location was great. Two out of five desk personnel not helpful. OK for one or two people. Suites have pull out beds not fit for your dog. Rooms with two double beds available might as well be inside the elevator. If you can afford their restaurant, you can afford a better hotel. Front desk personnel lied about availability of suites, kept asking different people until one "found" a suite. Only the location was wonderful.

It was surprisingly clean. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect 10 on cleanliness is due to dust or dirt on carpet around perimeter of room. Ridiculously small bathroom. Had to straddle toilet in order to open bathroom door! Also just shabby look and feel. It was surprisingly clean. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect 10 on cleanliness is due to dust or dirt on carpet around perimeter of room. I will probably stay somewhere else next time because of ridiculously small bathroom. Had to straddle toilet in order to open bathroom door! Not good when sharing with 10 year old.

The location of this hotel cannot be beat as it is near everything and easy to navigate the city from the central location. The entire lobby was under construction which isn't the worst of things but it would have been nice to have been notified. First room we were given was a 8 x 8 closet and the temperature was 80+ when we arrived. We left for a few hours after turning the air on very cool only to arrive to a room that was still the same temp. They gave us a new room which was bigger and had working air but was not the cleanest. The toilet ran all the time and the doors had to be forced shut, which made it seem like the new renovations were done by a fly by night crew. Upon checking out they tried to double charge us which I had read on a previous review just now. The entire trip was already paid for through online travel website and the lady behind the desk still gave me a bill. After bringing it up she handed me a business card and said that the reservationist was not in and I would need to call. After calling I was transferred 3 times and put on hold for twenty minutes before I hung up and went through travelocity which made sure I would be full refunded from the double charge. Location is good and the price was okay but the service was poor and the hotel was not the greatest, I will not be staying here ever again and do not recommend anyone else staying here either.

We booked well in advance, A group of 22 people, after checking out, we later dicovered that the Hotel Staff had charged us for a room we had never occupied. They also charged some of our guests cash and then proceeded to charge the guests, roomates the full charge on their respective credit cards. (thus double charging)
Unfortunately not all the guests could speak english as they were foreign travellers from Europe, so when we found out we tried to approach the Front Desk to rectify the discrepancies.
When trying to rectify the mistakes, the staff lied and told us that they couldn't rectify it and that we would need to take it up with customer services. When asking for the manager we were informed that he was not available. We later found out that the person who informed us of this, was infact the manager.
We contacted Best Western International Customer services and they simply sent us some generic "You had a choice, Thank you for choosing us, we appreciate your business" .
We, all 22 guests will never use Best Western Intl Hotels again and we will make sure all our family and friends are aware of the kind of service to expect.
Be aware when making a booking with this hotel in NYC. I feel it is my duty to warn other travellers.
We will follow up with the Local authorities and NYC Tourism Bureau.

Just a few blocks from times square and NBC and Fox studios. The location was absolutely great. I suspect that the price was probably comprable for other locations nearby. The room was tiny. There was bathwater in the tub when we checked in. (I don't think they drew a bath for us). The room and halls were dingy and old. The matress was kind of lumpy and sagged in the center.

Very small room. AC puddled water continuously under the window making a soggy carpet. Power strip at desk didn't work so we constantly had to unplug and plug lamp, coffee maker, computer, etc.; only two at a time. Super loud swoosh from each toilet flush (your room or neighbors'). No fitted bottom sheet on bed so instantly became untucked. By morning you ended up with a ball of sheets. Bed sagged in the middle very badly - way past time for replacement. Breakfast items downstairs were stale and uninteresting. Go down the street for food. Very heavy rapidly closing fire doors in the stairwell slammed my wife's fingers the first day. We took the elevators from then on. Nice staff and really excellent location.

Convenient location. Surprisingly quiet. Dirty, rodent-infested, cramped, uncomfortable bed. This hotel was terrible. Its only redeeming quality was its convenient location. The bed was ancient - the springs were completely shot. The curtains were dirty and stained; the bathroom had poor lighting and hardly enough room to set down a toothbrush. I saw something rodent-like scurry from under the bed to beneath the armoire and back again. I felt like I was given a lousy room. I didn't expect anything palatial, but I certainly thought the room would have a decent bed and no rats. I don't know how this hotel has 2 1/2 stars. I would give it 1. Absolutely terrible. I expected something much better from a national chain.

- During my stay , I missed a fridge because eating only in restaurants is very expensive. - It`s very nice that you have free internet access but I wish there were more computers. -It`s wonderful that you have a coffee maker in your rooms -Unfortenately my room has every time ( I have stayed BW President 3 times ) been a bit dirty. Especially the carpet have been quite dirty. I still love your hotel , thank you !

Smallish room, but I have stayed in smaller, so the size wasnt anything to complain about. Clean, simple, great service, charming decor. Bathroom water pressure wasnt that very strong, but everything else was wonderful, especially considering most places dont get much cheaper than this without having to share a bathroom. Literally one minute walk to Times Square. Incredible location!!! Especially for the price. Close to restaurants, shopping, hop-on hop-off buses, in the middle of broadway. A few blocks from NBC studios/Rockefeller Plaza. 10-15 minute walk to Madison Square Gardens. This hotel was unbelievable value for money and I will go back to The Best Western President if I go to NYC again. I would and have recommended this hotel to anyone wanting good value and good location. A+++

Front desk personnel accommodating. Manager, Paul. Beware. Reservation was not honored as placed. Told us we did not confirm our room for a suite when we did 3x. Reservation wasn't handled by Hotel properly. Booked 2 rooms for 8 people (children). Confirmation was confirmed for a suite and one bedroom. Called hotel, informed we would have to pay additional $30 to upgrade the 1bd. Agreed. At check in, told we did not have a suite. No rooms available. Wasted >1 hour, finally got a room but had to pay additional $30. Poor start for a 2 day vacation. Bait and switch is illegal.

The location could not have been better! The design of the toilet flushing mechanism was such that it didn't flush very well. Given the star rating and price, we were very pleased with this hotel. We had a room with a king bed and a sofa with a pull out bed. The room was quite spacious for New York. The location was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. Some of the other reviews we read said the high speed internet didn't work very well but it worked fine for us and we were there five nights. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable hotel in a great location.

It was a block away from time square. Only had two singles instead of double beds. Very small room first had one double bed (for three people) and then managed to get that changed to two beds. Unfortunately, they were two twin beds. Our son had to sleep on the floor for the entire stay. One of the women at the front desk was exceptional. The bellman was also very helpful. The night manager and day manager did not help to accommodate us because they stated only 6 room were available with double beds. The lesson here is to confirm with the hotel directly before arriving what type of bedding situation is available.

It was convenient. The shower was a little small. This hotel was in a convenient location, clean, decent size room and decent amenities. The only things keeping if from stellar were the sort of small shower and that you had to pay for breakfast.

The Best Western was comfortable, the room seemed much smaller than most with a desk area and a table . I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area and there was a sink with a counter and there was space for hanging clothes . The location was ok
