General Description

A real gem, a characterful Grade II listed former watermill, featuring award winning food, real ales and 40 malt whiskies. This family owned hotel has a Health Club with a 12 metre indoor pool, spa, sauna, steam room and 30 piece fitness studio. Set in 11 acres, Quy Mill is originally mentioned in the Domesday Book in the year 1068. The current buildings were constructed in the year 1830, and have a Grade II Historical Buildings Listing. We have sensitively transformed the Watermill, Miller's House and Timber Framed Barns into a quality 3-star plus hotel. Enjoy our award winning food from a choice of 4 differing menus. Food is served in several very different areas. In the informal Country Inn Restaurant, a distinctive candlelit conversion of the Dining Room, Parlour and Study of the Old Miller's House, where open fires are an attractive feature during Winter months. Food is also served in the Old Kitchen Bar, which features real ale beers, in the Celtic Bar, with our selection of 40 malt whiskies, and in the Orangery, with its view over the terraced gardens. We serve a simpler light bite menu in our vaulted oak beam lounge. Conferences and Banquets are held in air conditioned rooms with views over Quy Water and our extensive gardens, as well as in the Old Watermill Room, featuring the 16 foot Victorian water wheel behind a glass screen. All of our bedrooms feature en suite bathtubs and showers. Some bedrooms feature 4-poster beds with whirlpool spa baths. Almost 50% of our rooms are located on the ground floor. All of our resident guests have free access to our professionally managed Health Club, with a state of the art, 30 piece fitness studio, 12 metre deck level indoor pool, steam room, sauna and whirlpool spa beneath the splendour of oak beams. Children under the age of 16 years are not permitted in the pool after 6pmHigh-speed internet connection is available, this service is free of charge to Hotel Residents and Conference Delegates in the public areas and bedrooms.

The lesiure facilities were great and it was so easy to use them. The food was extremely good as was the service we received. This is a hotel we would definately use again.

very nice hotel very nice hotel with landscaped garden, a bit outside town and way not so straight-forward to find despite sign-posted, noise from the near-by A14 is tolerable, room 42 is a under the roof and a bit small but quite cosy

This hotel is perfectly ok. Check out in the morning can be a little slow as can breakfast but the restaurant menu is good and the gym/pool facilities all make it worth the money. I have stayed here a few times now and will go back again.

Much better than my previous stay. Bathroom now good water pressure and piping hot. Tv had extra satellite tv channels. Did not eat in the resteraunt as I was dining out, but the breakfast was excellent and served by a friendly female member of staff

Very enjoyable stay as always. Friendly staff, lovely location, easy to get to and just outside the centre. Best to get one of the new rooms outside of the main building as these are bigger and newer, plus there is no lift in the main building.

Nice and handy as its just off the A14. Off set from the main road so the surrounding are quiet - just the food delivery at 6:30am by a refridgerated truck was not need. The food is spot on - slightly limited but not one meal served could be floored.Rooms are ok - have stayed here twice and and both times had one thing that could be better in each (this time was low pressure in the shower). All in all a good place to stay for a en-route sleep over, and worth the little extra than a PTI etc...

Excellent food and very accommodatingThe restaurant food was amazing, they have recently changed their chef and the quality of the food was fresh and well cooked. I have a wheat allergy and they couldn't have been more helpful. The waiting staff in the restuarant where second to none. The atmoshpere, swimming pool and the fact that it is in a beautiful setting adds to the relaxing time we spent there. One small negative and that is the room was rather small and needs updating, especially the bathroom.We are DEFINATELY going to stay again, but will book into one of the executive rooms.

Standard rooms a bit small and stuffy. Staff very welcoming. Restricted choice of food but good and well cooked. Excellent spa facilities.
