Although the room was very small, it was clean and nicely remodeled. It was crowded in the check in area and only one person working, but they handled it very well. The walk to the beach was great and it included the beach pass. We would go back just to use that beach.

I booked this hotel direct and got the best rate. I am a senior and breakfast was included. It was late and snowing when I arrived and I ate at the hotels restaurant it was excellent. The staff at both the hotel and restaurant are very accommodating. I asked for a quiet room and they put me up in a large corner room with beautiful bedding and a comfortable bed. The hotel was well taken care of. It snowed the whole time I was there. I would reccommend this hotel for everyone.

The Best Western Station House Inn is a true gem in South Lake Tahoe. I almost hesitate to write a review, because I'd like to keep this find to myself. The setting towards the lake is beautiful, you easily forget that you are close to the Heavenly gondola, Hwy 50, the casinos - But those are all just a few hundred yards away. The hotel itself is nice, and the restaurant is the best I've been to in South Lake Tahoe. Dinner is an almost-in-San-Francisco experience, and breakfast is great.

This is a great little hotel with a wonderful location, easy walking distance to either Lake Tahoe or to the downtown activities and casinos. It is located off of the busy Route 50, in the midst of a residential neighborhood. We have traveled all across the country, and this was hands-down the cleanest hotel room we have ever stayed in. The plasma television was marvelous, linens were top quality. To my wife and I, the room was warm and cozy, but to a family, it would probably seem small. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Our only complaint was the king-sized bed. It was a very soft mattress that did not provide the kind of firmness and support we both need and are accustomed to in hotel rooms. With a better mattress, this room would have been perfect.

This hotel surpassed our expectations. The beds were extremely comfortable - as were the pillows. Very quiet location, yet close to amenities. The restaurant is fantastic! We had an excellent dinner there. Quiet ambiance which you don't find very often any more. Perfect for that romantic dinner for two. Although there was a family dining as well, but there wasn't any intrusion on our privacy - a well laid out facility. Breakfast was included in our room fee and was offered at the same restaurant. You have your choice of anything on the menu or the breakfast special - all included! The room was very clean and well appointed. Friendly, helpful staff. We couldn't have asked for more.

This hotel is in a fantastic location. Short walk to the lake. Walking distance to shopping, casinos, etc. The trolley also stops nearby. Small but nice pool. There is a restaurant on site that offers a free, full breakfast. They also fire up the grill for lunch next to the pool.The room was a little nicer than many lower end motels (granite or faux granite countertops, bathroom was attractive and nicer than many others in a similar price range). However, we had a queen room and it was tiny. We had two suitcases and one bike. Once we brought in our stuff, the room was packed. Itsy, bitsy bathroom and very little room between the bed, the wall and the table and chairs. They said they were going to start merging the queen rooms into suites but I'm assuming that will bring the price up quite a bit.I'd stay here again just because of the great location (and assuming the prices don't go up if they start combining rooms).

We were really impressed with the hotel staff friendliness and loved how informative the staff was. Everything was simply fabulous. We all enjoyed our stay very much. We also loved how clean the hotel room was. The mint at our bed side was a sweet touch. The best part was how the hotel offered a complementary full breakfast of your choice; those pancakes are truly the most delicious cakes we've ever eaten. We can't wait to go back.

Free breakfast and Bonnie "The Hostess with the Most-less!" Small room. Overall, this hotel was ok for my short stay. Very close to Stateline, very clean, nice bathrooms. Free breakfast was a selling point!

Motel rooms but beautifully decorated, very clean bathroom and near to attractions in South Lake Tahoe. It stand out because of the breakfast, they serve breakfast at your table, you can choose your plate from a menu. This is very nice compared to the usual buffet.
