Receptionist treatment on arrival at the hotelHaving driven up from Kent, I was quite tired when arriving at the Reception area. The male receptionist I found to be somewhat 'po faced'. He appeared very confident but I found him to be a little pattronising when asking him for directions to Lower Parliament Street to attend a course the following day. On the strength of his treatment, my first impression was that I wouldnt use the hotel again, but as the evening went on and I went into the bar for a drink and the restaurant for a meal as it was convenient, the female staff were very helpful, I felt I would be more than happy to return. The breakfast was very good and the kippers I had selected were superb, although I couldnt manage them both. All in All, a very comfortable hotel, my singel room was snug and yest I would use it again, hopefully, I wouldnt have to come face to face with the 'po faced, egotistical male receptionist'. The female ones incidentally, were fine.

Friendly and clean hotel, could do with air conditioning for summer as room was quite warm and faced the road so leaving the window open was not really an option.Handy for central Nottingham and right on a bus route if you want to avoid the nightmare one-way system

Got the room very cheap so was ok. If I had paid the full price I would have asked for a room with a tv that worked!

The room was ok for the money I paid however I would suggest that they install a power shower as the one in my room wasn't a good one at all. Also being a woman on my own I like to have room services which they did have but the room service menu was very limited (soup or various sandwiches . Staff were friendly and polite
