pleasure beach tripwe stayed at this hotel purely as we were going to the pleasure beach the following day.however, after such a nice hotel, i would use this as my base if i ever went to blackpool again for other reasons.i have stayed in a few hotels in blackpool, and although they may have once been nice, after nightclubbers using the rooms a few times, they have soon become grotty and inhospitable.however, the big blue was great. the room was huge and very clean.the bathroom was immaculate and the bed was huge. the breakfast was definetely worth paying for. we had an evening meal, and although not cheap, it was delicious and the service good.i previously stayed in the hilton in blackpool, paying much more, and would never stay there again - this is far superior. i only hope it doesn't become spoilt by clubbers and large parties ruining the rooms and taking over the bar. couple of small gripes - the television reception wasn't great and the rstaurant hadn't recieved any info that we had already paid for our breakfast when checking in, but this didn't put us off at all. i wouldn't pay the usual rate of £150 a night, but would definitely pay the £49.50 that we were charged.fantastic

Nice hotel, good food, no idea why it markets itself to families. It has snakes & ladders and thats about it. OH DEAR BLACKPOOL.

Breakfast is a bit chaotic with the self service but you don't have to wait too long for a table. Only complaint is when we came back in the evenings, there were kids running around the bar in their PJ's at 11pm!! No chance of a quiet drink!!

Will definately stay again....Pros: The bigblue is a modern, clean and quiet hotel, considering it's right beside pleasure beach. Free off-road parking & wireless internet very useful. Gym ok for short stay. The staffs were very helpful + free room upgrade can't complain about that.Cons: A pool or spa would be welcomed for the price. Stayed in a room with adjoining door making it possible to here voices from other room, not the best.

Our stay at this hotel was a pleasent stay however it was over priced for it's location and facilities. I was extremely disappointed that as a customer I was expected to sit and wait for a table to become available for breakfast to find that many tables were full of dirty crockery with no one sat at them.

BlackpoolThe room itself was nice however the bathroom smelt damp. We discovered why as the shower curtain did not stay in place and water leaked all over the bathroom floor. this was not a new problem as the skirting was warped from the water. We did enjoy the stay.

this hotel was not as nice as the pictures suggest but was still a nice tidy hotel. brilliant if you have children as they get their own seperate tv to watch in bed. nice hotel but perhaps not the best value for money in blackpool.

Let downHotel was fine itself, however paying just shy of £200 for 2nights and noticing the hotel was not fully booked yet we were given the worst located room which sat next to the theme park and being woken up every morning did not allow us to fully relax at the hotel. The noise ruined the whole experience.

Top bananaWhat a great family hotel, we all loved the fact that the roller coaster went past the window. The kids loved having their own space. Breakfast was busy but organised. Would definitely stay there again.

fantastic hotel in great location, brilliant facilities in room for our daughter aged 8 - she loved the tv,s and bunk beds. Room spotless and checked in 3 hrs early than planned. Free parking and the most gorgeous breakfast in the morning. So impressed we have re-booked for next year. A beautiful hotel, friendly staff, beautiful clean rooms and in an excellent location. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were so helpful and the whole experience was great.

Thought the hotel was nice and comfortable, liked the close proximity to the pleasure beach and beach front. We had fresh towels and linen daily though I felt the room was in need of a good dust and sweep. There was some confusion over our paid for breakfast on the last morning of our stay due to the receptionist that checked us in not giving us a voucher of some sort but this was sorted eventually. I would have been really disappointed had I payed the full price for the room but at under £50 a night with Late Rooms, it was ok.

Excellent location if you are visiting the Pleasure Beach with a view of the roller coasters from our bedroom window. Dinner was a big disappointment, the plates looked lovely, but the food was overcooked, underseasoned did not match to the service which was great although it was not very relaxing as they bustled around us setting up for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious.

Absolutely amazing. Perfect for young children!Only stayed here th 1 nite with a 7 and 1 year old as we were traveling 2 Alton Towers and this was just a stop over 2 break up th journey. Stayed in room 305. Massive bed and th fact that there was a seperate area for th kids to play/sleep in made it even better as we could stay up later and watch tv and have a drink or 2!

Public areas of hotel were modern and smart, as you would expect of a 4 star. However, despite the recent refurb, the rooms were a little disappointing, there was a dubious stain on the carpet at the side of the bed which looked like a previous guest may have vomited there, not quite what one would expect for a hotel of this rating
