The bathroom was squished in and had a little mould around the bath, but overall it was clean. The room was clean, however, for the first day it smelt a little, of what I can only describe as musty (sort of dust with dirt and no air). I think this came from the curtains? We opened the windows the first day and then it was fine.The parquet flooring was raised a little in bits due to being laid badly. Easy to trip over but it wasn't too much of an issue. Also, we had a balcony with chairs and a few potted plants, however to the left of the balcony in full view (not sure if this was part of the hotel or not) was what looked like a dumping ground, matresses, rubble, etc. The Staff are helpful and the breakfast really good. The overall presentation of the hotel is good, but our room could do with a little attention. I think the photos were taken a while ago as floor in our room in the photo looks shiny. The hotel is on quite a busy road, but we didn't find it too noisy (we're both heavy sleepers). It is very good for all the links though, everything you need within walking distance.

The location was fantastic. The original room we were put in had a strange smell but the staff quickly moved us to a different room and the whole stay was fantastic! Fantastic location and great price!

Family holidayHotel Borromeo is very centrally located for Termini and Coliseum/Forum area all within walking distance. Good for metro and bus connections to all other sites. Breakfast was taken on third floor which was light and airy. Standard double room not large but well equipped. We were upgraded to larger room which although to the front overlooking busy street was quiet due to the very effective glazing. Noisy plumbing from room next door was only complaint. Staff were friendly and helpful.

One Maid and the bell boy were helpful. Overall condition was not good, breakfast was bad. The hotel has an excellent location but that is about all. The staff are smug and haughty people who think the guest is mostly a nuisance. The coffee is cold at breakfast, the scrambled eggs are very cold and repulsive.

We enjoyed our stay as this hotel is close to the Colloseum and not far from the Train Station. Our only issue was the fridge in the room didn't work, the room was a little small.

Adequate... would recommend Hotel Duca d'Alba for 5 STAR accommodation much cheaperThe hotel is beautiful and the staff amazingly friendly. I had a lovely bright large room by the road and yet it was lovely and quiet. The bathroom shower was small, unclean and with no bath, the only option. The cleaner did a basic job on the room, while all other staff exceeded expectation. Only one major issue with night security who questioned a friend staying over in the room. As my birthday vacation, I had friends fly in from different countries and his behaviour resulted in us booking another hotel for the night: Duca d'Alba which is perfectly located and whose facilities were beautiful. The room felt like 5 star accommodation at almost half the price! Breakfast was fit for a King! Duca d'Alba was real luxury. Sadly Hotel Boromeo was only adequate (with very bad breakfast).
