Location and staff were excellent. Room was extremely noisy every night and could hear normal-volume voices in both adjoining rooms easily. Overall, the stay was good but mostly due to the location.

Location is unbeatable, staffis friendly, decor is authentic and spacious. Room itself a little small. Definitely made my stay in Boston comfortable and was the launching point for many great adventures. T-line is right off the entrance at Arlington.

Elegant. The walls in room were peeling, the faucet was broken, no pen or paper in room. Valet attendant impatient on checkout. Not worth the money. But would stay again.

Very nice property; very helpful concierge; very convenient location. Checkout took a bit longer than necessary. I make occasional trips to hear the BSO and hope to stay here again. It met all my needs and is a very nice property.

Great location. Room did not have a view. It looked into other guest rooms. My husband and I stay in Boston about 5-6 times a year. This is my least favorite hotel and our last stay confirmed that yet again. Our room was across from the ice machine which was very loud during the night and our view included being able to look into other guest rooms across a very low roof. We couldn't get the water in the shower hot enough and the hair dryer blew out when turned on. Overall, the location is great and the hotel looks nice but there is something about this place that I can't get over.

The Boston Park Plaza was our HQ for the 4th of July festivities. We could walk anywhere from the hotel or take the subway. There were a variety of restaurants nearby along with lots of shopping and sightseeing.

The Plaza Hotel & Towers was beautifully decorated, centrally located to many shops and near Cheers. Our check in and out process was easy and convienent. We only stayed the night so we did not get a chance to take advantage of the hotel ammenites but we did dine at the in-hotel resturant Bonfire. I cant say enough about the cusine!! It was simply delicious!! The service was also outstanding. We had a great time and will surely return on our next visit to Boston!!

Old world charm and fantastic location. The historic bathroom fixtures have been updated, but with an odd bathfitter style. Can't beat the location and feeling of a true classic hotel, but some of the modern interventions are less than successful. The bathrooms have their original porcelain fixtures and tiles, but have been sloppily updated with a cheap overlay.

Loved the common spaces the hotel had. Old world charm that has been maintained over the years. Had problems with the suite I stayed in. Specifically, the bathroom. Found the tub and shower very outdated. Shower very unsafe!

Location and proximity to public transportation was great. The room was a little small, walls a little thin noisy. The hotel was very clean and the location was perfect- 2 mins to Copley Sq and the Boston Common. Also very convenient to the T, 1 block walk. The rooms have obviously been redone recently with nice muted earth tones and local artwork. Double shower heads in the bathroom was great too, as well as Caswell, Massey toiletries. I was not able to get the room type requested, but it turned out ok. Parking is very expensive at $36 per day here if you take a car. One other drawback is the noise level in the room, both from the other rooms and from the street, could be a problem if you are a light sleeper. I would recommend closing the bathroom door overnight since the noise seems to come from there. Overall I would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the Boston Park Plaza. Found the bed to be very comfortable, the room clean and pleasant. The rental car location right across the street was very helpful. We felt that the price was very fair and we were pleased with almost everything the hotel had to offer, except for breakfast options. It was so ridiculously expensive that we sought ought other possiblilites. Thanks to very helpful concierges, we were able to find some excellent choices.

My trip to Boston was to be with my brother who is currently going throughChemo at a local hospital, so my visit was not for "fun". However, staying in this hotel made ""coming home"" at night very comfortable anda pleasure. Everything from the food/bar and the room was a great experience.

What a great, older hotel for the price. And the location was completely awesome! If you don't absolutely have to have granite in the bathrooms or a flat screen plasma TV, then look into this historic hotel for your Boston trip. Went with my husband for a get away 'minus the kids' and we both loved it.

I recently attended a class in Boston and selected this hotel. I really was truly suprised. Room was very nice, excellent staff. It has access to the subway within a block and was able to be at Harvard within 30 minutes for $2.00. It is a great location, but the hotel was very nice. Easy check in. Have a good inexpensive restaurant. I did not have a car so I cannot comment on the parking. The cab ride to the airport (left too early for the subway) was around $25.00. Overall, I would stay there again and plan to in October. They upgraded my room upon my arrival (I am not sure why as I am not that good looking) so my stay was very nice. Close to theatre district, park with great access to Cambridge and downtown. If taking classes at Harvard or MIT this is a good location. Also, bakery/deli two doors down, really good. Several places to eat within walking distance. I liked the hotel.

The Park Plaza was a thoroughly enjoyable stay for me as I was in town for a 2 day seminar given at the hotel. I used to live in Boston and knowing the city as well as I do made me realize how great this location was. Steps to the Public Garden and Commons, a couple of blocks to Copley Square, and I even walked to Quincy Market from here (a bit far for out of towners if you don't know your way around) The hotel itself was grand "old style" but not worn out or run down. I would definitely stay there again!

The proximity to Emerson College. Concierge would not respond to calls from room and was downright rude in person. Although it is aesthetically beautiful, the lack of customer service after checking in was quite shocking.

"When you first walk into the hotel, you get the feeling that you do not belong there. The elegant crystal chandelier gives the illusion of a very swanky hotel. The dark dingy hallways tell a different story. The room was a matchbox in dire need of updating. The air-conditioner did not work and the walls were paper thin. The only saving grace was the location and the dual shower head with great water pressure. We had a great time in Boston and we did not let the hotel ruin our time. The Back Bay area is beautiful."

"My husband and I were here for our honeymoon and we loved it. The location is perfect. Our air didn't work quite right, but the outside temp was pretty cool. It was also a little loud outside our door but we were close to the elevator. Everyone was so nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay downtown but doesn't want to spend a fortune."

Location to theater district. Old looking rooms. Drafty room, climate controls poor. We loved the location to theaters, convenience to dining, comfortable bed. We didn't like the climate controls in room, old and drafty quarters and high priced, but convenient restaurants in house.

Loved the Old World Elegance, piano man & fresh flowers. The bathroom is a bit small like Europe's but very clean, we had a SUPER stay. A walk back in time to the elegance of yesteryear. The lobby is complete with beautiful fresh flowers and a romantic piano player. We stayed in our room for dinner and had an excellent meal from room service that came to the room in a flash. The location of the hotel is superb too. It is in walking distance to so much.

I loved the Bonfire Restaurant and Bar. Nothing. All employees were very helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, and in a great location. We stayed on New Years Eve and had a great time in the hotel bar after we went to dinner and a show.
