A good modern room in a hotel with good facilities. Parts of the hotel need updating but at the price this was a good stay.

The carpet in the room looked so dirty I kept my shoes on the whole time I was there and did not dare go barefoot at any time. I arranged for a wake up call, but no one called me so I missed the shuttle bus to the airport. Though they paid for a taxi to come pick me up, I did have to wait and most inconvenienced. I will never stay at a Brittania hotel again, nor will I ever recommended it to any of my colleagues, friends, or family members.

An ex Posthouse Hotel it was a little tired with frayed carpets and upholstery. Various maintenance items that you would expect to be repaired were not, such as the fan in the bathroom and a swollen chipboard cover over the toilet. However, these were minor points. The helpfulness of the staff was excellent, the room was bright and clean and although the hotel was adjacent to the motorway noise was not a problem. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.

On arrival I was given a card key which failed to work, not unusual, I sometimes wonder about the basic capabilities of hotel staff. Walking along the corridor there was an awful smell and it was very cold, the smell must have been from the damp conditions. On entering the room, the heating had been on and it didn't appear too bad, maybe just the relief of getting away from the corridor. Once settled in the room did smell, it was cold, and there wasn't hot water in the morning for a shower. I was catching an early flight so didn't have time to make a fuss, though I did complain to the receptionist about the conditions in the room.I wouldn't consider staying there again, it was abysmal. I travel a lot and stay in some pretty basic places. Generally they have hot water and you can keep warm in them. Unfortunately this wasn't the case with this hotel. Abysmal.

Could not get into the restaurant in the evening due to a large coach party. Heating in room did not work therefore freezing. Breakfast absolutely awful.
