General Description

A traditional Country House with distinctive architecture, set in its own landscaped grounds. The hotel is in a prime location for easy access to all motorway networks. All 255 en-suite bedrooms are pleasantly decorated with wood furnishings; facilities including TV, Telephone, Trouser Press and Tea and Coffee Making facilities. There are two restaurants, of which include Jenny's serving the hearty breakfast or a lighter continental style, light lunches or snacks and dinner a traditional Carvery, English meals or one of the Chefs specials. Alternatively try the Overstuffed Pizzeria with pizzas, steaks and hot sandwiches. The main residents bar and Jenny's bar offer a tranquil atmosphere, great for a quiet drink. The Leisure facilities here include a swimming pool, gym, Sauna and Steam room. The eight Conference rooms can offer first class facilities for any occasion catering for up to 360 people. WIFI is free to all guests and is available in all public areas of the hotel. The hotel offers a 24 hour coach transfer to the airport, this service is charged at £4.00 per adult, £1.00 per child return trip.

Restaurant & its staff OK, but reception staff offhand, and quite uninterested in a complaint about faulty heating in room 170.Carpets stained , dust at foot of furniture and along skirting boards. Bar stocked only 500cl bottles of cider - a pint is more than most ladies can cope with.

The hotel is beautiful but my room wasnt all that. I paid for an executive double room with a Jacuzzi and wasnt very impressed at all!! The room was nice but not of an executive standard and the jacuzzi was just a rather old looking little bath with pressure holes that didtn work. Not impressed!

Quite grimThe room was very old fashioned, with old and damaged armchairs. The carpet had not been thoroughly vacumed and I spotted a beetle crawling around.The bar area smelt of vomit.They had the cheek to charge £2.50 to use the pool and sauna area. The pool was too small to have a swim in, only good for splashing around. The other spa facilities were OK though and the shower area was nice and clean and modern. The worst part was the function room party with music blaring until 1am. Totally unnacceptable if you had an early flight from the Airport or were tired from a 6 hour drive like we were.

asked for directions and they didnt know were they were ( take a tomtom)booking not in system 3 hours later make sure to taking the print out,cant get a bar stack at 8.30pm make sure you eat before arriving,but the rest was great bath was huge, room was clean excellent we will see you next week, with tomtom full bellies and the print out in hand lol x

Disatisfied with the very poor foodThe hotel was potetially nice, but it was clearly run by management who do not care.The quality of the Carvery was frankly appalling. I arrived at 9.00pm in the evening. I was not sure food would still be served. I was told it would be until 10.00pm.When I went to the carvery at 9.15pm the meat and vegetables looked as if they had been there since lunch time. The meat was frazzled - the carrotts dehydrated, the courgettes had gone to mush - the gravy had askin 1cm thick.very disappointing.

It all started off very promising (after a bit of a challenge with car parking - surely all those cars aren't from hotel residents!) Hotel appeared nice and clean, the room was great with four post bed and jacuzzi bath - nice touch! Couldn't complain at this stage, but at 2 in the morning dozens of football fans started singing outside the front, with loads of shouting, and even violence. Thought the hotel staff might have made more effort to deal with it, but we had to wait ages for 2 riot vans and more police cars to arrive before it died down. Ruined the whole experience for us. Apparently the hotel is known for this type of trouble. I would only stay there again if it was a week night.

hotel surrondings and downstairs were lovely but the room was very small and needed the decor updating it also looked like it suffered a flood so was unhappy with the room would have complained at the time but was only staying one night.

stayed hotel 10th and 12th april,first room,front ok,return room rear and standards dropped by 3/4!used this hotel more than the once for our travels to and from manchester airport and its parking, hotel rooms to the front of hotel ok,where we have always stayed upto our return journey on the 12th april, where we had a rear hotel room,standards extremely poor, but far too tired to complain, as we were only staying overnight! experience now turned us against using the hotel in the future, even though £45 special rate, way over priced for room,customer service and facilities...very disappointed customers. sorry.

This accomodation is ok for literally getting your head down, do not expect anything special.I would`nt use this hotel for a romantic getaway, the bar did not open on time and we had toask several times. The desk staff just did`nt seem interested, which kind of let the hotel downeven more, the bed was not over comfortable.
