Tired and Old and in need of a major revampMy Executive Room was pretty dire - hole in the tiling in the bathroom, not sure why the room had a shower for disabled access and the spa bath looked really crummy and old and disgusting. TV in room was ancient, no mini bar or water provided and sound proofing non existent - had asked for quiet room but DLR right outside the window ! Whole hotel in need of revamp and bar staff poorly trained as well. Check in staff incredibly slow too.

I stayed the night before running the marathon. The hotel was very nice and the room was lovely (the jacuzzi was very much appreciated!). However the restaurant let the hotel down in my opinion. The service at the dinner was half-hearted at best - no-one bothered to even take our order for adrink! At the marathon breakfast there was little \"marathon\" food other than porridge and a very slow toaster. Again service was appalling and we had to find our own tea and coffee no-one was particularly interested in serving us!!!

Despite my less than satisfactory experience of this hotel, I returned due to location and lack of vacancies elsewhere. So take my comments in the light of some pre existing prejudice. The front desk staff were efficient enough save for two quibbles:1. their personal conversation was more important than serving a guest 2. despite pre paying for the room, they would not issue a vat receipt until check out.I was prepared for this hotel's policy of not allowing any ordering of room service when paying by debit card - a point I have made before and despite the fact that I have no such troubles elsewhere. The room service was OK and the food acceptable - to pub standard.I had forgotten the need to stipulate a room that does not overlook the DLR. It will keep you awake. The rooms are in need of upgrading - furniture is tired, there is no minibar and the TV is limited in programme access. The only attribute I can recommend is the location.

Possibly trhe worse run hotel i have stayed in- lack of knowledge and customer service second to none--- out of date styling, dirty shabby rooms and interiors -- stay here at your peril.

Hotel staff tried to charge me a different, more expensive rate. Had to show Laterooms email to get correct rate.First room they gave me had broken air conditioning and was very hot. They then upgraded me to a penthouse room, which was very nice.

Staff Friendly, bar service & room good. Some people put off by DLT being right next to hotel but I did not find this a problem as the hotel was central to all the business places I needed to get to. However the food was not the best & not worth the money. Decided on melon for breakfast on day two and it tasted of onion leading me to think they had either used same board for chopping or someone who had handled onions then handled the melon. Bacon too salty, scrambled egg too peppery. Tables only given a cursory wipe.

Great location if spending time in the Docklands area and near a tube station. The bed was very uncomfortable compared to standard US hotel beds. The wireless internet was unusable which is the main reason why I would not stay there again.

What you get is disappointing compared to what you see on the internet. The rooms are old, stuffy and cramped. At check in and check out there was no staff to assist with our luggage. If you could afford a real 4 star hotel please stay there instead! At least it is close to the tube (subway) and shopping. I would not stay there again.

My wife and I took this hotel on the basis of 40 per person per night for Friday/Saturday i.e. a total cost of 160 Upon arrival we were informed that breakfast was additional and would cost 13.50 each. We were then offered an upgrade to a larger room including breakfast for the price of an additional 60. Thus the whole deal ended up costing 220 The hotel was supposedly a 4 star but our room was not equipped with a safe or mini-bar. The room was badly in need of refurbishing. The bathroom was somewhat basic comprising of basin, WC and bath. The bath shower head was under so much pumped water pressure that it could not be stabilized; thus taking a shower was difficult and annoying. The breakfast experience can only be described as appalling with abysmal levels of service. In fact the buffet food varied from barely acceptable to reasonable quality, however the toaster was non functional on both days although staff did nothing to discourage persons attempting to use it. There was short/erratic supply of essentials such as tea, coffee and milk.I would certainly advise future customers to stick to the basic deal and take their breakfast elsewhere.Personally my wife and I will not be using this hotel again.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Good restaurant menu. Buffet meal for 12.50 euro. Internet has a very slow connection.

The staff were very friendly and the service excellent. My main complaint was about the air conditioning that simply didn't work in my room. In fairness when I complained the staff unlocked the window and provided a fan. This action addressed the temperature problem but the open window naturally increased the noise from the DLR which runs till late and seemed to start at around 0500 I personally did not find the bed comfortable and this, coupled with the noise detracted from a good nights sleep.I will stay again but will ask for a room on the opposite side of the hotel to the DLR! THe location of the hotel was excellent for my purposes.I emphasize again that the staff are very friendly and very helpful

Pit stopHotel was very comfortable and I got an excellent deal of only £75 for a double room. The standard rate is well over £200 a night! My only gripe was not being able to control the room temperature. I had a poor night's sleep as it was 27.5 degrees, which is excessively hot! Being on the 9th floor, there were unfortunately no windows to open. As I was on my own, I had room service which was very efficient and not over priced.

A little old fashion in terms of decor and could do with modernisation. Great views from the bar but late barman seemed to have a personality bypass! Rooms clean but again a little dated. Much cheaper than local rivals and overall not bad value for money.
