Cambridge train station is 11 miles away and the nearest airport is in Stansted 35 miles away from the Hotel. Your first views of this hotel are across the water as you enter Cambourne village - this hotel provides an excellent country retreat with the advantage of being minutes from the historic town of Cambridge.

Excellent stay - Would recommend 'Laterooms' dealsExcellent hotel, ideal location on outskirts of Cambridge (especially as we wanted to avoid the traffic in the city centre). Laterooms deal (inc bed & breakfast, and dinner on 1st night) excellent value for money. Hotel has gym, pool and jacuzzi included and open late, as well as quiet bar, courtyard and lounge area - perfect for relaxing after busy day sightseeing and away from rooms so not at all noisy when we stayed during the week. Not ideal if you want to spend the evening out in pubs and clubs in Cambridge, but perfect for what we were looking for. Easy to get to - located on a business park, Morrisons supermarket close by and a few other shops but you really need a car to get to local restaurants (although the hotel restaurant is really good) or places to visit. Most people staying seemed to be on business or were foreign students connected with the colleges. Would definitely look at other Q hotels for future breaks.

Great swimming pool and spa. Friendly helpful staff. Some great food (delicious soups) and also some average food, on a couple of occasions my order was got wrong. Overall good value.

The postcode had been changed apparently and our two month old sat nav couldn't recognise it. Restaurant was overpriced and provided small portions (6 chips) with a rather fatty ribeye steak. It is a brand new town and has a morrisons and one other pub and the hotel is surrounded by a housing estate. Not my cup of tea at all. The breakfast was fine though plenty of choice. I think they should also provide a sheltered outside area to cater for smokers. I wasn't impressed to be honest

Original room had a problem with the lights so I had to move - as a gesture of goodwill for the incovenience of moving rooms they upgraded me to a junior suite which was lovely.Only thing I would advise is don't use the spa bath.....I switched it on and immediately the bath water was full of horrible black floaters - presumably other guests dead skin which was lodged in the jets...not very nice at all!

Reception and restaurant service was good, quick and efficient. Our only complaint is the room door entry system. It took at least a dozen or more swipes before getting a green light for entry. Very frustrating!

very good service from all staff, ice bucket readily available - didn't miss the lack of a fridge. Swimming pool is rather heavy on the chlorine otherwise excellent, pity about the spelling mistake on the poem on the wall. Food was very good and staff very obliging particularly Miguel. We would be pleased to return.

Although a recently built hotel, my room already looked tired, especially the furniture.Room key would not initially work, and I had to visit reception twice before this was rectified.I chose the hotel because it was convenient for my next day business appointment.I have stayed here once before about 18 months ago, and on that visit my room was much better.Maybe I was just unlucky this visit.
