The Chase Park Plaza was very clean, comfortable and friendly. Very roomy with a couch and TV area, desk area, large bathroom and big bedroom. There was only one sink but it had lots of counter space - the shower was great. The location was excellent - right near Forest Park and Central West End - lots of great places to eat and things to do that were within walking distance. All of the staff were helpful, friendly and considerate. I will recommend this to friends. My only complaint was that the bar/lounge was closed for renovations and we had planned to meet a friend at the hotel for cocktails. We just walked around the corner and found a great place nearby.

We were told no suites were available. However, the air conditioning did not work in our tiny, tiny room; the maintenance men found they could not repair it immediately and, amaz-ingly, a suite appeared. We therefore had lots of room for our 3 night stay. Love the old hotel.

The Chase was fantastic! Located in the Central West End the Chase offered access to an entire street full of nice restaurants, bars, and Forest Park, one of St Louis's great attractions. The staff was very welcoming and tended to our every need. The hotel also has a nice pool, fitness center, spa, barber shop, and access to a number of other services. The rooms were very large with a sitting area, and bedroom, two TVs and a spacious bathroom.

The Hotel lobby is gorgeous and the hotel has lots of amenities, but the suite we stayed in had a terrible view and the decor and furniture was unimpressive. I love old hotels, but for the price, the rooms lacked the charm of most older hotels that have been redone.

Live band plays on Fridays and Saturdays in bar/pool area until 1:00 a.m. Reverberating base made it extremely hard to sleep. Called front desk which advised this was a hotel tradition and couldn't do anything about it. Overall room was spacious and well appointed. Mini-bar/fridge which was available for a price had someone else's leftover food in it. Robes in closet were missing - only concern there was being charged for it. Conference facilities were fine. Nice part of the city. Unfortunately loud nightlife going on in the hotel until wee hours preclude us from recommending to others unless you're a party person.

Everything about this hotel was more than satifactory for us. It was easy to find. The service was excellent from the minute we arrived to the time we left. It's a beautiful hotel in a great location. The Restaurant is one of our favorites and I highly recommend "The Chef's Tastings". The rooms are clean, roomy and very comfortable. Only thing I would suggest is free wireless connection. If you are looking for a great place to relax this is the place. You do not even have to leave the hotel to have a good time. There is a marvelous theater located in the hotel and a live band in the bar. On our last visit the weather was nice enough to visit with friends on the patio next to a inviting fireplace. We had a great time. We will definitely be back our next trip to St Louis in June. This was our 3rd stay and I cannot complain about thing.

I really think this hotel needs to focus more on their guests. This hotel is a multi-use hotel with several locations for dining, conferences, entertaining, and even includes a movie theater. It's very large and it's easy for a guest to be unnoticed by the staff. I also thought that safety was an issue because there is several ways to get into the hotel. The room itself was nice but small. The bed was too close to the door, so noise was a big problem. I would not stay here again.
