LOCATION:There is no other more conveniently located Guest House in this price range in all of London. We have excellent transport links with the centre with buses bound for the centre passing the Guest House every 3-5 minutes. In addition to this we are literally next door to the train station which provides access to both Victoria and London. The Guest House also offers convenient access to the world famous music venue, the Brixton Academy which has hosted everyone from Bob Dylan to Madonna, to Faithless, Motorhead and the Mighty Boosh. The hotel is ideal for someone who doesn't care if the room is spacious or for any extra amenities. The neighborhood is nothing to be afraid of, the bus stop is in front of the hotel and the 87 bus number gets you in 5 min. in Vauxhall underground where you can go wherever you want to. The hotel is clean, the heat is more than fine and I would definitely go there again for a relatively cheap stay.

Leisure TripStayed 2 nights in march and this hotel was OK. Clean and tidy, but could do with some sound proofing from outside and above. Sash windows on a busy main road with traffic lights directly outside made it rather noisy at night.Good proximity to London and very good transport networks in to the city. Not spectacular, but average value for money.

Very Basic, but clean accomodation. Not much around but, If all you want is a bed for the night then does all you need it to do. Would stay again.

clean and nice hotel, friendly staff. i was sleeping during a day time so they gave me diferent room where is less noise. they let me to check out late, so i have few more hours sleep before my flight.

This is just a bedroom in a building, nothing more, no food and no overnight staff. But if that is all that you need then this could be a cost effective place to stay. My bedroom was on the front adjacent the road; the windows did not keep out the traffic noise and the bedroom furniture was a bit tired. On the plus side Chris on reception was very helpful and curteous, the bed linen and rooms were clean and fresh and the shower room was nice and modern.

The hotel isn't in the best of London locations but its fairly easy to get into the city using a short walk or bus journey to the Vauxhall tube station. The room we had was basic, (with a soft bed, cheap flat-pack bedside cabinet and wardrobe), but it was clean and tidy and it had an ensuite toilet and shower. The hotel was on a fairly busy road so having foam earplugs was a good idea. Considering the low price, it was quite good and on the pleasant side of \"you get what you pay for\". The only reasons I can think of not to stay here next time would be to be in a nicer area of London in a hotel with breakfast facilities.

This hotel was like a home away from home stayed in the east wing, this part of the hotel was not busy. I was happy with the service paid by cash did not have to leave extra to cover any damages. The rooms are spacious and airy, they have been recently re-decorated as of Jan 2008. The bathroom was clean with plenty of towels and the TV was wall mounted leaving the room un-cluttered.

Doing London on a budgetIf your visiting London on a romantic weekend and are looking to impress your partner, then book elsewhere. However, if you are doing London on a budget and would rather have more of that budget to spend going out than on a place to crash, this fits the bill. Basic but clean rooms, pleasant reception staff and located 2 stops by train from Victoria or by bus to Waterloo. You'll just need to look past the anonymous exterior and busy main road location.
