DEF a party hotel, not for family! Needs updating but awesome location! AWESOME! Sheets are not as clean as they appear. Bathroom cool concept but a pattern curtain would have been better. Rooms are SMALL if you're in a double w/4 ppl & we had 4 but we managed somehow. Night staff was AWESOME, Day staff - not so nice. No customer service at all. Female Bartender can be mean if you don't tip her for Happy Hour. She's a rough one. Check out is a NIGHTMARE, please plan accordingly for that & be prepared to be in the lobby with about 100 luggages and about 50 ppl. The shuttle is a GREAT plus but when you need it to go to MIA, book it the evening before! Overall...great location, got a great deal for 4 rooms...def stay there again b/c of location.

My friend and I stayed here to enjoy Miami and do some great shopping. We were greeted at the hotel by a receptionist that was unhappy that we disturbed her from her web surfing. If you plan to sleep during your stay do not stay here. We understood we were in Miami and expected some noise, but we didnt expect the base rattling our walls until 4am. The room was not cleaned before 6pm, we had to get maids to do it when we finished our shopping for the day. We found Cockroaches on the floor!!! And to top it off, they wouldnt even clean the dead one we squished on the floor. Even better there was a lizard in the room as well. Never have I experienced such a horrible stay anywhere. Very bad idea to stay here!!!!

The location is excellent, happy hour and the shuttle. Rooms are very dark. More lighting is highly recommended. Small lobby. No restaurant or activities. The rooms are dark, If you want to read, you need to turn on several lights. Bathroom and closet are nice and beds are comfortable. Happy hours are cool but the lobby is too small. The hallways are dark and not attractive. It is not a family oriented hotel.

Location. Service. Nobody from management bothered to call and remind us of a 11:00 am check out and not a 12:00 check out. I have never actually been charged in all of my travels a late check out fee. Will never stay at this hotel again because of it. Being from the cold north I recommend a lot of hotels to friends and business in warmer climates. Not this hotel!!

My boys and I regularly stay at the Chesterfield for our annual "mancation". It is a convenient hotel that offers shuttle service from MIA Int'l Airport so there's no need for a car rental. The hotel is centrally located so you can walk to all the spots on Ocean Drive. This is NOT a high end hotel but it serves a great purpose for an even greater price. The staff does tend to be somewhat distant w/ the guests but overall it's a great hotel for the price you pay. The happy hour is great as long as you understand that it's just a happy hour and not a way for you to get twisted on quality liquor. The rooms tend to be well kept but you will find some problems here and there. Again, it's not a high end hotel so don't expect to get high end services and high end amenities. The rooms are equipped w/ nice flat screen TV, iPod/iPhone compatible stereos so you can just hook up your own music. The rooms are dimly lit but again, it's a hotel for you to be writing a dissertation. Think of it as ambiance lighting. Overall all the guys that have traveled on the "mancation" have been extremely satisfied w/ the Chesterfield. We are scheduled to go back on July 9th of '09!

This is by far one of THE WORST HOTELS I have ever booked to stay at. I have traveled all over the world and this is by far one of the worst i've expierenced. 10 Minutes after checking in - we discovered the toliet was leaking and flooding our bathroom. Come to find out the entire toliet had a huge crack in it. Staff REFUSED to give us another room claiming ""no vacancy"" although the huge VACANCY sign was lit up outside. THey were so nasty and Rude. Not to mention it being a health code violation. We also had booked & paid for a JR suite which clearly states has a bath tub and separate shower. OUR room was tiny - NO phone - very unsafe, not even in the hotel - it was 2 buildings down and down a dark alley with access right outside. Our room only had a shower and the staff lied to us about it being a jr. suite - after a horrible 3 hours of trying to get put into another clean room that was NOT flooded - the front desk ""HELP"" refused to canceled our credit card charge even though we left the hotel and NEVER EVEN STAYED THERE> DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL> I don't wish this horrible expierence upon anyone.

I was transferred from the Mercury, which was overbooked, to the Chesterfield at midnight, after arriving from NYC on a late flight. Apart from the obvious foul-up by reservations, the Chesterfield wasn't all that bad. For the price they charge, you could do a lot worse. I was smart enough not to drive, so I didn't worry about the parking situation and the hotel shuttle was great to get to the airport. The hotel is very well located, with the beach and clubs all walking distance. Just make sure you ask for a room in the back or it can be noisy. The bed was comfortable and the room was large enough for two people to fit comfortably.

The suite was not as depicted on the website. The website depicted the suite as clean, new, and trendy. Upon arrival, we discovered that the suite was a cramped room in an old building, with old furnishings, and no air conditioning. In light of the fact that the air conditioning was broken, there was a portable air conditioner in the room with a vent hose through a cardboard panel in a window to the exterior which made the room unsafe. The portable unit was noisy, and it ran non-stop; however, it never cooled the room even one degree. It was absolutely miserable in the room - noisy, hot, humid, and smelly. I will never stay at the Chesterfield again.

Located in the heart of South Beach, Miami. How long I stayed there, it should have been longer. Lounge atmosphere on the ground level and an upscale hotel in the upper levels. It was located within walking distance to the beach, clubs, bars, restaurants and the staff provided us with great local knowledge of the different nightly activities to do.
