We went to Busch Gardens for the weekend. This hotel was very close. The staff was receptive. Hotel pool was great for the kids. Stayed in regular hotel room which was clean. We had a great time and I felt that it was a good value for the money that we paid. I would definitely go back again.

The hotel looks good from the street. The pool is great for kids. The room was small and very musty. This hotel definitely did not deserve 3 stars. This hotel should be rated a 2 star due to the fact that the rooms are not in the best condition, are small, and the hotel is more like a "motor lodge" vs. a "hotel."

It was clean and the location was convenient. The pool was full of ants. we were locked out of our room till 10.45pm due to faulty key. Apart from the key incident which could've been dealt with in a more efficient manner, we have no other complaints.

Very friendly staff; enjoyed the TGI Fridays next door. Room was wok carpet had allot of stains no bugs so that was good. I enjoyed the decor of the room. The carpet as stated above had stains did not feel like I could walk bare foot or put my things down on the carpet. Wished the hotel would've had a continental breakfast would've been a nice benefit of staying.

The front desk was friendly at check-in. Problems were not dealt with in a timely manner. No apologies or concerns were given for problems I encountered. Will not stay here again. I will not stay at this hotel again. Problems that could have been minor turned into far bigger issues than they should have been. Staff should be better trained in dealing with issues. Staff could also learn to at least act like they are concerned when the guests have an issue. Even calling after the fact to apologize would have made me happy. Of course, that did not happen.

We made these reservations on the spur of the moment to drive down to Tampa. The great thing is they accept pets (we have a dog). Arrived at about 9:00 at night so was unable to see much of the hotel, but the lobby was clean and the staff we helpful and polite. The front entrance driveway was super crowded as was the front parking lot, there is a "Fridays" bar in the end of the complex and it had alot of traffic coming and going. You can tell the hotel is older, but it is nicely updated with trendy paint and fabrics in the rooms. Rooms are the standard size with small bathroom. The next morning we saw that pool area was beautiful and it had a great kids section. Would have liked to stay longer, but only stayed the one night. Breakfast was good, plenty of food and pleasant atmosphere. The best thing was no pet fee and no hassle.

The Clarion Hotel was not what we thought we were getting. The pool was colder than the Ocean and we were unable to enjoy it. The free breakfast in the morning was the same thing every morning and did not settle well with any of us. The maids/cleaners did not clean the toilets and it was gross. I would not stay there again.

The front looks modern. The room I stayed in looked like a 1970's room. This is definitely not a 3 Star hotel. I am extremely disappointed in my experience. The worst by far I have.. The room was a typical1970's Holiday Inn room complete with Orange coloredwalls, a table not a desk, no computer connections,and very little lighting. The front of the HI lookedvery modern but the room I stayed in (2085) was subpar for sure. I would not recommend it to anyone.

The front desk accomodated the number of people we had and got our 2 rooms together. The "Kids Eat Free" is very misleading when it comes to dinner. Overall, our experience was what we expected. It was very convenient to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. The rooms were typical hotel rooms, but the front desk staff was exceptional when we explained we had two children with us. He immediately changed our rooms (we had 2 rooms) to 2 doubles and made sure they were next to each other.

Have stayed in the past and can't believe how much a difference the renovations have made. New beds are comfortable and the carpeting and new furniture make for a classy environment. I'll definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

I had a reservation for 4 nights and I checked out after 1. The bathroom floor was dirty...I swiped a towel across the floor and the towel was dirty. When I woke up, I had little red bumps/bites on my arm. I was so grossed out, I wouldn't even take a shower in the dirty bathroom. The lobby and the conference room were nice and updated, however the rooms and the rest of the hotel were still old and smelled musty (my shirt even smelled musty the next day). I ended up going to another hotel which I spent a little bit more but had none of the same problems that I had at the Clarion. Also, this hotel is on one of the worst streets in Tampa. I did not feel safe walking outside around the hotel. Please do not stay here if you are looking for a nice, safe, clean place to stay!

We loved the Clarion Hotel. The room was great with a comfortable king bed, microwave and refrigerator. The Atrium in the center of the hotel was magnificant. There was a huge pool and a second pool for children. Unfortunately, it was cool while we there and we unable to enjoy the pool or the beautiful setting. We had a great hot breakfast which is included. We certainly will return.

This hotel has severe plumbing problems, we complained to travel website and were moved to another room, problems continued. Toilet flushed poorly, tub drain was very slow, room not cleaned at all one night, towels not left after it was cleaned another day. There is no way I would stay at this facility again. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I was very disappointed that the only solution offered by travel website when I complained and requested a move to another facility was another room in the same hotel. This was like changing tables in a restaurant when the food and service is bad. The next time I will make my own hotel reservations so that I have the freedom to move if the facility is a disappointment.

Nothing!!!! Everything!!!!!!! Hotel is old, worn out, dirty, broken down beds, chipped, cracked, dirty, raw concrete walkways, inadequate A/C units, rude staff. It is dirty, worn out, broken down beds, rude front desk staff, poor food quality and service. This is a deplorable hotel.

The pool area was great but the kid pool should be heated. The room was really nasty! Beware of the rooms! You will get eaten by some bugs and there was mold in our bathroom. We didn't have hot water in our room; so we had to switch rooms but the person at the front desk didn't switch us for the next night. The front desk called us at 11:15 pm to make sure that we were in the room. There were spiders in the bathroom and we didn't take our shoes off because we were afraid.

My son loved the pool There really wasn't anything not to like The hotel was nice. The location was great considering we spent a lot of time at Busch Gardens. It's proximity to major roadways so we could go to St. Petersburg and Clearwater was excellent. I'd stay there again.

The shuttle service for Busch gardens was wonderful. The ceiling in our room was flaking off & falling all over & made us uneasy about safety of it. The pool area is very nice. The hotel consists of 2 buildings, one has rooms to the outside and the other interior hallways. Cafe at hotel didn't look to good but the TGI Fridays on property was very good. The ceiling of our room was flaking and falling all over the place which got on all of our belongings and just gave you an uneasy feeling about the structural safety of the room.

Middle of big strip mall style street, everything you could need around if traveling for business. No high speed internet in rooms. They have this weird 'west wing' of the hotel that clearly was another, more run down hotel, sucks to end up in. Was traveling for business and it sucked for that purpose, no real business center ('go across the street for Kinko's') or internet in rooms beyond dial up. Staff kind of sucked too, but that might be a Florida thing in general I have found.

The location was fabulous, clean room, great pools for all ages! Bathroom was old and dirty! Beware of "free" breakfast!! You have to pay for the breakfast bar! Hotel is located across from a new strip mall and the area doesn't look like the rest of Tampa. The room was nice and clean, although the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The staff was very nice and the kid's pool (pirate ship) was great! Just know before you go that their free breakfast only includes cereal & muffins located at the end of the breakfast bar. The breakfast bar itself is totally overpriced and tastes like hospital food. Overall, I would stay their again but will spend my money eating out!
