General Description

Americas Best Value Inn St. Louis (formerly Clubhouse Inn and Suites) is located about 12 minutes from Lambert Airport and 30 miles from downtown St. Louis. The property is just seconds from Westport Plaza where there are about 10 restaurants, a comedy club and night life. Complimentary hot breakfast is included in the price of the room and coffee is served all day long in the lobby. Breakfast hours are 6:30am to 9am on Monday through Friday; Saturday and Sunday hours are 7am to 10am. The hotel has an outdoor pool and indoor whirlpool. The ClubHouse Inn & Suites has a beautiful courtyard with barbeque grills for the guests use. The ClubHouse Inn & Suites offers a complementary shuttle to and from the airport and a five mile radius of the hotel. The shuttle runs 7am to 11pm Sunday through Saturday. Room amenities include cable TV, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, alarm clock, voicemail and free wireless Internet.

We have stayed at this location several times. It is a little older than some but we enjoy the free drinks, full breakfast and the location. This time the first room they assigned the internet wouldn't work so they cheerfully switched us. In the second room the telephone wouldn't work but we didn't care as we both carry cell phones. At night the hallways reverberate with everyone's voices, so I had to call the desk and ask that the kids be told to tone it down. We were there over July 4th weekend and several ball teams were also there. We will, despite the above, stay there again.

Check-in and check-out were fast and easy. Employees were friendly and helpful. Location was good. Hotel was clean but is showing some wear and tear. Bed needs to be replaced -- it was saggy and soft. For the price, the hotel is okay. The room and public areas are clean, although our room showed some wear and tear. The location is very convenient. Staff was friendly and courteous. Our biggest complaint was the bed, which seemed like it needed to be replaced.

This hotel was very nice looking. The staff was really nice however when it came to dealing with obnoxious guests, they did NOTHING. The hotel was very clean when we arrived & for the few couple of days but as time went on our room was as dirty as we left it: beds unmade, tables dirty, no clean glasses, no coffee, & room unvacuumed. However, we did get the room for a really great price. There was an outdoor pool (but freezing cold), internet access, great hot continental breakfast, fitness center, & indoor hot tub. Even though there was a great breakfast, there was not good restaurants near by except fast food chains. Overall, it was a good hotel for especially the price we paid for it.

We found the front desk friendly at times, however when we needed to stay due to my daughters enrollment in college we found the staff very unfriendly and managment refused to return our call. We found that it is best to have everything in writing , check into your room and have little or nothing to do with front desk or managment.

I would stay there again. The staff was friendly. It was clean, comfortable, great location and price. Free breakfast was good. The only complaint was the bed. It was not as comfortable as other hotel beds I have slept on. Overall we were pleased.

The hotel was very nice to stay at, very close to alot of attractions. Clean very friendly staff and just in the right neighborhood. The only complaint, the bed was horrible. I did not sleep good for 2 nights because of it. But overall the hotel gets my complete approval, would recommend.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were kept very clean, extra towels were provided as soon as requested and the staff were very attentive. The weather was brutally hot during our stay and the hotel's airconditioning was completely efficient. Because I was traveling with children, I appreciated the hotel's available dinner service on evenings when we were all very tired. The hotel's breakfasts certainly lived up to their reputation. We will definitely stay at this hotel on future trips to St. Louis.

For the price this was a wonderful hotel to stay in..As a matter of fact im getting ready to visit the clubhouse suites in Nashville soon!!! The hotel staff was wonderful, the pool was nice, the fitness center and hot tub was wonderful, and the breakfast was great!!!! Thanks Clubhouse..

The hotel for the price was great. I had to wait a bit checking in, but that was because the gentleman in front of me was trying to get a different type of room than what he had booked. The service personnel was very kind and helpful. It was very hot in St. Louis, so the pool was a wonderful amenity, which was almost always empty of people. The beds were a little uncomfortable, but the air conditioner in the room more than made up for that small issue. The breakfast offered is limited in breakfast items, but the food available is excellent. As for the location, the hotel is easy to get to and out of to other places. It is about 15 minutes from the zoo and art museum and 30 minutes to Six Flags. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend it to others visiting the area that don't want to stay downtown.

We stayed at the Clubhouse Inn and Suites for three nights. Everything was very nice. The only improvement I would suggest would be is to have the sheets completely cover the king bed we were sleeping in. The sheets would not totally cover the top portion of the bed and you would touch the matress every once in awhile. Knowing that the matress wasn't cleaned made you feel somewhat dirty. Besides that great place to stay.

The motel was everything you'd expect and more. Friendly staff and outstanding shuttle service ;essentially a free taxi;. The free breakfast was also above reproach. If I ever go to St. Louis again, that'sprobably where my family and I will stay.

Both years we stayed 4 nights. We had NO complaints in 7/2008. This July, 2009 we were told it is under new management. We had numerous complaints: the sofa bed was NOT made up, sheets were given but had to make it up ourself! A pillow was twisted, no way a dog could even be comfortable on it! Later called down for a blanket, after 11 pm recalled & they said no one answered the door-well, duh if no one knocked how would we know they were there?! We had to go down for a blanket b/c there was ONLY ONE person working the desk!! She said there also was no security!! The blanket on the bed had holes in it! Shower curtain, floor, toilet were all dirty. Blood from previous man was splattered on doorpost by vanity! (man: a guys clothing tag was on the floor!). We requested extra pillows, had to get them our self! The breakfast: eggs & sausage, waffles, fruit all were very good. The orange juice was bad, VERY watered down. Coffee was quite weak. The general attitude of workers was they didn't care!Also, a â??TWINKEEâ?? disappeared while we were out and zippers were closed on our bags. The room service has no right TOUCHING our things! So glad we thought to take our valuables with us!!Needless to say, we will NOT be returning to this hotel!

The hotel was very clean and the beds comforatable.The front desk was very helpful,giving us directions for area attractions and all the area malls.The breakfast was very good and hot. Overall I would highly reccomend staying here.I know I will when I am in town again.

The hotel was good and the breakfast was great. This was a young man that me everyone feel at home. I think it is time to replace the towel and wash rags and do dome maintenance on the bath tub in room #141.

This is a nice clean, newer motel. Located in the suburbs, centered with all our activites. With indoor fitness center and hot tub, and a nice walk through the gardens to the outdoor pool. Our room had a balcony, and the best suprise was a complimentary buffet breakfast made by the cook, and two complimentary drinks in the evening.

Close enough to the Interstate and airport without noise being a problem. The breakfast was a positive surprise for a hotel at this price point. Staff was consistently upbeat, friendly, and helpful. Clean and safe.

I have stayed at the Clubhouse Inn several times and always had a wonderful experience. If there has ever been an issue, the staff has been more than willing to take care of it in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. I will be back and highly recommend it to any traveler.

The breakfast buffet was beyond the complimentary breakfast of sweet rolls and cereals found at most comparable hotels. The personnel running it were very friendly and helpful also!
