I always choose Club Quarters whn I visit NYC. It is close to 3 different subway routes. Check in can be done at a kiosk in the lobby. Maybe the only downside is that the financial district is off the beaten path on the weekend, so there are not a lot of local places to eat.

Friendly and very helpful staff. Go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Room and bathroom clean; bed very comfortable; usual coffee maker nad fridge which is handy for keeping the 'free' bottled water available on each floor (great idea!). Room a tad on the small side but we were seldom in the room except to sleep. Ideal for business travellers as free internet and ports etc. for laptop and a nice desk with comfy office chair; also internet available in lounge area on hotel's computers. Not a huge amount of restuarants around (especially on weekends) as hotel is close to Wall street, but it's a short cab ride to China town, Little Italy and Tribeca. Would stay there again if travelling on business but would prefer the other Club Quarters at Rockefeller Centre as it's closer to entertainment etc.

the Hotel was lovely, the staff and front desk very friendly. Location was right on, with the subway literally less than a block away as we did not plan on doing any driving in the city. Hotel restaurant food was great and reasonably priced. we ordered in food and it came within minutes. Room service seemed to know exactly when we left and returned as we stayed in bed all day one day and left out for nightlife at a late hour and when we came back, our room was cleaned and linen changed. although our room was not very large, it suited us greatly as iit was only me & my fiancee. With me & her being the gadget freaks we are, there was excellent wifi and outlets for our laptops and cell phone chargers. We enjoyed ourselves and definitely plan on doing this getaway again with the same hotel. Highly recommended.

"I was concerned at first after reading the other comments. We had a nice corner room, spacious by European standards and comparable in size to a small US motel chain. For the price, it was perfect. We were less than a block from the 2 line. Very convenient. We will likely choose this hotel again if the price is right. It is a little hard to get to with the one way streets but what isn't in the Financial district. We walked to Ground Zero, Trinity and Century 21."

I had a great time at the Club Quarters Hotel. The room was a little small but clean and the bed was really comfortable. I would stay at this hotel again.

Our stay at Club Quarters in lower Manhattan was great. The front desk was very friendly, quick and helpful. When the person at the front desk was checking us in and found our reservation, he noted that we had booked thru travel website and proceeded to give us a room on the 20th floor with a great view! The person checking in before us was given a third floor room. The room was small, which we expected, but was very comfortable and clean. The only criticism I have is the shower floor - that could use some new tile or better cleaning. Other than that, the hotel was great and would go back again.

This hotel is perfect for the traveler who would like to get away from the commotion of more popular areas in manhattan. The rooms are an unbelievable value for the money, being comfortable in size and relatively well kept. There are many tourist attractions, dining areas, and subways within walking distance which made the commute around the city very easy and timely. For those interested being close to the center of nightlife, this hotel will probably not be suited for you since the area around the hotel is very quiet at night and most of the hotel occupants are buisness oriented. A cab into the times square area was about 15 dollars each way, but once again the subway is also an excellent and economical option. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to other people visiting the area.

I've never stayed in this part of the city before however this hotel is very close to multiple subway lines, within walking distance of good places to eat, and it's quiet at night which is a nice change of pace for NYC. I loved this hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. My room was large compared to what I am accustomed to getting in the city though by standards it's an average size room. The room was well furnished and maintained. The bed slept wonderfully. I loved the comp wireless internext which actually worked perfectly along with the desk and flat screen tv. I didn't even feel cramped in the restroom. They have free, refillable bottle water on every floor which is a nice added touch. The elevators are fast which is not common in older buildings. While I say the building was older, it has been completely refurbished and nicely appointed. Lastly, the security including a locked down elevator made me feel very safe. This is in about 1 block off Wall Street, 3 blocks to Trinity Church, and well within walking distance of the WTC site, Battery Park, and Staten Island Ferry.

My boyfriend and I decided to spend our anniversary in the city. I wanted to be close to the nightlife, and shop (of course.) I booked the room in Manhattan, and with the price, I figured we'd have a decent room. We would only spend a few hours in it anyway, so I had little expectations. We arrived, and there was a not-so-friendly representative at the front, who ignored us as she called others to help us. I had a couple of issues, and discussed this with the very-nice rep that helped us. She upgraded our room to a suite, and sent up a complimentary bottle of wine. My man and I stayed in the room the whole time! Shopping and nighlife will be there when we go back. The room was awesome, and service was great!!

The Club Quarters was very nice. We were on a get away weekend and our first trip to New York. The room was comfortable with queen bed, desk and chair, small bathroom. Quite adequate for our purposes. Probably more suited to business travelers, but since we weren't spending a lot of time in the room, it was perfect for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful with reservations and directions. There is a very nice area on the first floor with sofas and chairs, tv and desks and computers for guest use. The exercise room looked very nice, but we didn't have time to use it. We were around the corner from Wall Street and about 4 blocks to the seaport area for tour buses, boats, restaurants. The subway entrance was a half a block away.

This is a GREAT HOTEL right in the Financial District of Manhattan. The best part are the beds.. they are very comfortable. The staff was friendly and willing to help a clearly non New Yorker.

We were very satisfied with Club Quarters accommodations. The front desk answered all our questions and gave us helpful directions. When we needed extra towels or pilows, they were delivered quickly. They had coffee available in the room and also in the meeting room on the lobby floor. We were told the rooms were small, however, we did not find this a problem. The space is set up beautifully. We did not need the internet, so I have no opinion on that. We especially enjoyed the subway stop (Wall St). being practically under the building. On the weekends, this stop is closed but the Fulton St is only 3 blocks away. We felt it was very convenient. We walked to Battery Park and the Ferry.
