Upscale. Modern decorations. Very chic. Also free WiFi. No parking. Expensive overnight self park or valet. Very upscale. Great ambiance. The rooms were very luxurious with great sized modern bathrooms with lots of marble counter top, marble floors, separate glass encased stall shower and large recessed tub. Also great sound system: Bose surround sound on TV/radio!

From valet parking, check in, in the lounge employees couldn't have been nicer. Was very pleased with everything. Conrad Chicago was an absolute pleasure to stay at from the friendly staff to the room amenities, there is nothing more you could want for. Also, room service was outstanding, I would highly recommend for anyone to stay here.

Large, luxurious rooms with excellent amenities. The mattresses did not seem to match the overall quality of the hotel. With luxuriously appointed rooms that provide a bit more space than similar hotels, the Conrad is a nice place to stay. Friendly staff and clean decorating provide an inviting atmosphere for a relaxing vacation or stress-free business trip. On the down side, the uncomfortable mattresses didn't seem to match the rest of the room.

Last minute booking in an overbooked town - I got a great deal for the location and luxuriousness of this hotel; the patio bar was always lively. I got an ado room which had a shower only; I would have preferred a tub. Lovely.

Room decor was above expectations. Nothing. This is a classy hotel with outstanding amenities. The outside bar/movie area is great. The room was very well decorated and complete with bar, fridge, etc. Bath area very well updated, with marble and glass.

Great rooms, windows operable, nice amenities, great bath tub and sound system. Under construction, weird lobby entrance on the 5th floor. Really a great hotel. Once you get to the room, it's annoying to have to take 2 elevators to get to a 6th floor room and stairway access isn't really easy to find. Rooms were spacious, very comfortable with an ipod dock and Bose sound system for the radio (not to mention a 42 inch TV which we never turned on because we're not TV people) and the windows operable which was huge for me. I would have left the hotel if they hadn't been).

Location-perfect, beautiful decor, friendly staff. Food too expensive-yogurt and coffee room service-$48! Attached to Nordstrom's! Beautiful decor, clean, great staff, wonderful rooms. If you are on a budget, eat at Nordstrom's, not the hotel. The food was way too expensive.

Rooms were very modern and upscale and extremely clean. Bose sound system too. Bar was a bit undersized. Accomodations were very nice and hotel seemed spotless. Waitstaff in bar and restaurant seemed a bit lackadaisical but I noticed that in Chicago in general this seems to be the case. It's like they are doing you a favor when the wait on you.

Absolutely beautifully decorated, very comfortable beds and rooms. The shower was great, lovely views. I'd highly recommend dining out on the Terrace-it's first class service. The hotel staff was very knowledgable, friendly, polite and accommodating! I'll definitely stay at the Conrad again - highly recommend it.

Very friendly staff. We ordered a large room service order and it was prompt and hot. The tv had a poor picture and someone was sent immediately to repair it. The beds, pillows were awesome. I would definatley stay there again. The only down side was the $48 charge to have my car parked over night. But, now I know!

The Conrad Chicago is a neat-o facility in a perfect location. The hotel itself is interesting in that it sits on top of, and next to a four story, relatively luxurious mall. The lobby is on the 5th floor. Able-bodied guests can skip the valet service and park directly across Rush Street in the structure (which is connected to the hotel via a walkway over the street). This parking structure is where the valets will park your car anyway (for $49 per day, versus $29 if you self-park and have the front desk provide a validation). Also, this process will help you understand the need to take three different elevators to reach your room from the parking area. It sounds annoying; but once you get the hang of it, you will feel like a pro. Inside, the hotel and our room were spotless - which is a requirement of ours. The man at the front desk when we checked in, and the woman when we checked out, were both top notch and could work at any luxury hotel. The other front desk personnel we encountered, and the Concierge staff regrettably, were a little amateur-ish and attempted to be "stuffy," which was kind of funny really. That was the only real negative. Our room was huge by big city standards - the bathroom alone was as big as some entire hotel rooms. Although we were not booked for a particular "view room;" we overlooked the city and river from the 16th of 17 floors; nice to be up high. Also, the workout facility is spacious, well-equipped and super nice. Once you navigate the elevator maze to get out of the hotel and mall, you couldn't be in a better central spot. Highly recommended by a 34m/44f hipster couple from Michigan.

Clean, comfort, friendly. Terrace on 5th floor was not romantic but was dark and played loud movies on Sun & Mon. Hotel met our expectations. They played an ear deafening action movie on both nights we were there (Sun & Mon) and kept the place so dark that our waitress had to bring a light to read the menu. We moved to the indoor bar and finished our food there. We mentioned this to the staff and were told that Sun & Mon nights were special action movie nights. Far from romantic for my wife and I who were celebrating a birthday.

The rooms were luxurious and comfortable, with all the amenities. NA. I think this was nicest room we have stayed at in Chicago. The beds were luxurious and comfortable. The rooms were spacious with lovely bathrooms. The location is wonderful and the Terrace Restaurant was a great place to have a before dinner drink and overlook the city on a summer night.

Friendly staff, very clean, comfy bed. Construction in the lobby area. Conrad Chicago was a great hotel with a friendly staff. Everyone at the hotel seemed to enjoy their job and was very helpful. The rooms were very sound proof and was not disturbed by the staff or other guest. They do their best to make sure you are happy and even provide a nice turn down service nightly. I'm excited to see the completed lobby and hotel, since it is currently under construction. This is a great hotel as far as convenience to shopping, restaurants, and the pier. I highly recommend this hotel.

no in-room coffee maker, no refrigerator, no access to coffee unless you want to get dressed & walk- this would convince my husband & I not to stay here again although we got a great Chicago rate over the holiday. Seems like a small detail, but it was important to us with a family of four.

The location was amazing. The staff was exceptional. The hotel was clean and being renovated. The hotel was being renovated and the entrance was not located on Michigan Avenue. It was the street on lower level. The parking was not included. The hotel was definitely more than we expected. Location was exceptional. The rooms were nicely decorated and the bathroom was beautiful. The hotel staff was friendly, efficient and informative. The only negative was that the entrance to the hotel was difficult to find and was under construction. Our entire family enjoyed our stay in Chicago.

Large bathroom with robes provided, new comforter and bed linens, attached to the Nordstrom's Mall allowing one to shop without having to go outdoors. Our view only looked at a building couldn't see the impressive Chicago skyline.

Clean, upscale, modern, convenient, quiet, eloquent, Too long a wait for the bartender, served someone w came after me first, also he served food to another party, told me no food could be served. Overall I liked the hotel, the ambiance, the cleanliness everything, only thing I didn't like is that the guests were not friendly and the one of the staff members, it seemed as though they had not seen a minority there for quite some time.
