I stood in line for almost 30 minutes to check in, because there was only one person working the front desk. The manager came by, said something to the young lady and kept walking while I, along with several others families waited in line for help. The bathroom sliding door kept coming off track. The pool services close at 5:00 (slide and towels). On my 1st after-hours visit, the bartender had towels behind the bar; however on the following day, another bartender shrugged it off so I went the front desk and asked the young lady to call housekeeping to deliver some towels. She told me that I would have to go back up to my room and they would deliver them there. She said she wasn't going to have them bring towels to the lobby; so I went over to the concierge, and the lady immediately called housekeeping and they brought the towels. When I asked for the manager, he was missing-in-action again...nobody knew where he was. Our internet services didn't work in our room, and it was never resolved. This hotel has a "can-do" motto; however, they "won't-do" whatever they don't feel like doing. For the price, choose somewhere else to stay.

My visit to The Condado Plaza Hotel & Casino, SAN JUAN in August 2007 was very enjoyable. The hotel is very comfortable and conveniently located to most attractions and walking distance to many restaurants. I loved the style of the bathroom. At the time of my stay the hotel was undergoing renovation and should even more attractive when completed.I would definately recommend this hotel.

The Condado Plaza Hotel and Casino was a mixed bag. We were greeted by the staff at 8:30 PM with a big smile, but the only problem was that our room was not yet ready. It was 8:30 PM, what's the deal with that? We in turn received a coupon for dinner in the hotel Italian resturant (Italian in Puerto Rico?), so needless to say, our night was in el bano. Outside the tardy room delivery (10:30 PM), the hotel felt like a night club with bumping music throughout the lobby which overlooks a spectacular view. The pool is solid with solid service. Not a place for families, but for the singles. All in all, a mixed bag.

Clean room Old, run down, expensive Upon check in, they sent us to an occupied room. I called the front desk and was on hold for 5 minutes. They sent someone up with a second set of keys. We proceeded to the second room, opened the door to find a woman in the room. Called the front desk and there was no answer. Went down to the front desk (which was a chore, since only 1 elevator was functioning during our stay)...and we finally got a room. The hotel was very worn and old.....the best view was on the web..I tried to transfer to the El San Juan (another Wyndham property).

Beautiful Hotel, Felt very safe and great casinos. The meals a little costly at the poolside, if prices were alittle less people didn't have to go to Subways or any fastfood stores.

Hotel was excellent. Checked in much earlier than anticipated without any problems. Front desk was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated with very prompt room service. Glass walls in bathroom is nice for couples but provide little privacy for family. The facilities were great and the staff very friendly and courteous. Food was very expensive at the hotel but options are just a 5 minutes walk away on Ashford Ave. Disappointed with parking fees for hotel guest's car. Will visit again anyway.

great hotel, beatuiful pools and great rooms, the casino is a decent one nothing to do with Vegas but still good, rent a car its vital so you can know the city and everything else

It was m first time in PR and it was great. Staying here helped a lot. I got a lagoon view room and was surprisingly pleased, the view of San Juan is great. The private beach is okay, but I walked down the street to the main beach, all the restaurants in the hotel are great, the room was nice, the balcony was a great place to relax after a long day. Also I had no qualms with the bathroom, it was a little on the small side but there was nothing bad about it, no water leaking, no fungus, no sewage like some others have pasted. All in all it was a nice trip, I would defintely stay here again.

This is beautiful hotel. I stayed in Puerto Rico for 2 weeks so I went hotel hopping. The first night I stayed at the Doubletree which was $40.00 more a night for a basic room... I didn't book this hotel first because of some of the reviews so I had to check it out for myself... When we walked in this hotel it was so pretty and different it made me go online to book it, I also wanted to get a taste of Puerto Rico and try to do it on a budget. I went for the cheaper room but when I went to put my bags in the room, it was already occupied WOW right... but maybe that was a good thing everything happens for a reason we were hungry because we choose a late checkout from DT so we could check in as close to check in time as possible but my husband demanded that we wait in line to get the room situation squared away which I'm glad we did they upgraded our room to an Ocean view and it was amazing. At night we'd open the door a little to hear the ocean and during the day we sat out on the balcony and enjoy the view. The Bistro restaurant was OK, but you can walk the strip not as far as some of the reviews and grab a cheap bite to eat. Chili’s is like 3-5min walk and it is very good. I didn't really care for the Chinese food restaurant and the restaurant in the main hotel was pretty good. Make sure you book your events early because they fill fast. The hot tub was a bit dirty but it's under a tree and kids come in it. The beach is right there

Great Hotel. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. BEautiful decor and great amenities. Also, the location was very convenient. WE were able to walk to restaurantes or shops. I strongly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is divided into two sides - the ocean side and the lagoon side. The pool areas are rather dated and need some serious updating. My room lost power the first night and by the second night I got a new much better room. I was promised some compensation for the move but it never happened. There is no follow up at the front desk or with management. There are far nicer hotels on the Condado strip closer to restaurants and night life than the Condado Plaza. I would pass this hotel by and try the Marriott or La Concha. I went through both and they looked to be excellent.

The room for which I paid extra for the lagoon view wasn't ready at check in time (3 pm) after several visits to the reception booth I got the room at 8:30 pm -a real odyssey- since I was awake since 5 in the morning to depart from Miami to San Juan

The ocean view. charge for high-speed internet, no vending machines, nothing in the minibar. Every member of the staff at the Condado Plaza that I interacted with was well-dressed, knowledgeable, polite and helpful. The lobby has a beautiful aquarium and the view from my 7th floor room was breathtaking. The beach is small but protected from the surf, and the two pools (one salt water) were clean and surrounded by comfy chaises. I would love to go back and spend some laid back hours.

The hotel had everything we want for a relaxing get a way: Excellent Resturants, Casino, Relaxing Pool with a fantastic bar tender at the pool (Fun Guy) Room was clean, beds were comfortable and staff was friendly and very quick to respond from check in to check out. I would recommend this hotel to anyone

Our hotel experience was very nice. We did however encounter one bad situation. The bed sheets were a little stained, however, after we notified the concierge they upgraded us to a delux room which was unbelievable.

Absolutely love the look of the lobby when you walk in. Wonderful rooms with nice deco and comfy beds. Bathrooms were very clean and tidy. Staff was courteous and helpful as well. The casino was small and many of the Craps & Blackjack tables were closed, possibly due to our mid-week stay, but I found one eventually and the Casino ended up paying US to stay for a couple nights and drink for free!! What more can you ask for? We will most definitely be staying again. Next time will be more during high season, around February. In June, the place is pretty quiet... great if that's what you're looking for though.

Room where clean and just like the pictures show, beautiful ocean view and excellent beds. The bathroom was awesome. Need clarification about pool hours, not aware pool was open all night until my departure day. Requested to be moved from my room due to poor air conditioning after speaking to three people at the front desk by the end of the day I was told there was no record of such request and no rooms were available to be moved to. got a call at 12:40 AM to see if I wanted to move. Beach front is not accesible due to rocks in area, there is a small beach on the lagoon side of the hotel that was ok. Pool area is pretty although it should be heated, it was freezing. Location is good although is on the quiet side of Condado area. I will stay in this hotel again but not at the price that I paid for my stay, for the money I expected more.

We didn't want to stay in a chain hotel, and so found this resort online. The lobby area and ocean views were beautiful, and our room was lovely, as well, with a very comfortable bed. Though we only stayed one night the staff addressed us by name and were friendly. There are three swimming areas to choose from and the hotel is a 10 minute drive to Old San Juan by cab. The restaurants on site are convenient and good quality. Our only complaint was the noisy hallway -- the sound carried and at night people talking sounded very loud and woke us up. The other problem was that our shower leaked onto the floor during use.

I stayed at the Condado with my family the hotel was under construction; I expected more from the hotel from the pictures on the internet. The cost does not include the parking at their garage; parking is an extra $* per day or any part of the day. I was totally disapointed. The price is not worth the stay at this hotel. I would never go there again or refer a friend.

There were many issues with my first room. Too many to mention. Upper management was made aware and a room change and a refund of one night's stay was given.
