Stylish HotelWe enjoyed a very comfortble weekend in this lovely new hotel. The decor was beautiful, the bedroom very comfortable and well-equipped, plus the food was good, better than many other hotels we have stayed in.The location was good for us, within walking distance of the centre, and attached to the football ground. The only problem could be getting a parking space in the carpark, or anywhere nearby on a Saturday afternoon when a game is on.We thought it excellent value for money and would recommend it highly.

FaultlessI am normally very critical of hotels, so compliments then to this hotel's management, because I cannot fault any aspect of our stay, albeit very brief. Friendly efficient service, great location, free parking, lovely modern clean room, great decor in bar/reception, helpful staff... and all for £59. This is the way all hotels should be. I would not even consider looking at other hotels in Sheffield and will definitely look at other Copthorne hotels in the future. If I was being paid to find something negative, the choice of pay-per-view movies was extensive but didn't seem to offer anything for the more liberal adult viewer (if you catch my drift), and my wife said there wasn't a shower-cap in the shower-cap box!Overall - a delight - a stay here restores confidence in the UK hotel industry and should put fear into other hotel-owners' hearts!

Recommendedstayed here twice and both times i was very happy with everything in the hotel. lovely room, well equiped gym, great breakfast (with discount voucher), excellent value for money.Didn't try the evening meal, so can't review that but breakfast was self service and plentiful.If in sheffield would recommend this place to anyone.

Smart and efficientTicked all the boxes for a short weekend stay, well designed room with quality fixtures and fittings. Aside from a dodgy signal on some of the TV stations, all was fine. Friendly, efficient staff, easy parking and walking distance to the centre.

Lovely hotel. Shame about the surrounding areaSuper recently built 4* hotel attached to Sheffield United FC's ground. Very good service from polite switched on staff. Luxuriously appointed spacious room (a/c, 42\" LCD etc) with an equally impressive bathroom. Plenty of room to work in with large desk, chair and a further two leather arm chairs. WiFi didn't work though. The bar was smart and modern with drinks at pub (London) prices. Restaurant food was very impressive but a bit expensive. Luckily there was a 25% off promotion which made it bareable. Good wine list but again a bit pricey. Cheapest bottle is £15 plus but no 25% discount unfortunately. Still, you can't have everything. Breakfast is a sight to behold with a huge buffet of very freshly prepared fare. Now the not so good bit. Restaurant is desperately dull. very, very dim, bare and a bit cold. The table I sat at for dinner rocked, but for the wrong reasons. Don't you just hate that? Being a switched on cookie I sat at a different table for breakfast. You guest it, it rocked liked the Rolling Stones. I looked at other tables to see some have various bits and pieces wedged under the bases to keep them steady. They have a partly partitioned off area to one side of the restaurant which is used for conferences/functions. There was some extremely loud woman accompanied by even louder music giving some kind of presentation on a life style product to a few unentusiastic attendees whilst I ate dinner. Most off-putting especially if your with guests. All in all an excellent hotel let down by the ambience and comfort of its restaurant.
