I stayed there from 5/17/09-5/19/09 and it was much larger than I expected since the Tribeca area is usually expensive. It was also very clean. However, the walls are quite thing so you can hear your neighbors. Also, the cleaning lady came knocking on our door at around 9am to see if we wanted our room cleaned that day. And if you are expecting conditioner, it's not there so you should bring your own.

Tribeca is a fun, safe location in the city. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly. Bathroom is very small, but price is good.

It was clean. We were very happy with the Cosmopolitan. Our only complaint is that the rooms were small, but we knew that would be the case. The hotel wasvery clean. We would definitely stay there again.

Overall, I like this hotel very much. Service is great and the rooms are clean. Although the rooms are small, this is typical of Manhattan hotels. The hotel is near many restaurants and also next to Chambers Street Subway station. So, it was easy to ride the subway to Times Square and Battery Park. Only complaint about the hotel was the TV. It was small and the color was going out. But, not much of a problem since I was not in NY to watch TV. :D

The cosmopolitan hotel in NYC ia a perfect hotel for those who do not want to break the bank on a place to stay. The downtown location is very convenieint to the subways and has much to offer on its own. The hotel does not have many luxuries but is clean and simple. The rooms are not large, but comfortable, especially if you spend most of your time out and about. The bathrooms are small, but the water pressure in the shower was great. No counter space to keep personal care items, but it worked okay for me. Closet is a separate unit and not very big - I had to ask for more hangers, but they delivered them right away. Staff was not very friendly - but I didn't interact with them much. They would not allow a late check out which was very inconvenient for my schedule. There is free wireless internet access - very convenient - but it is an unsecured network. The hotel is a historical landmark and served as a base for many of the 911 rescue workers. It was redone after 911. I would recommend this hotel and plan to return on my next trip to NYC. Hard to find the first time as their signage is small.

Great location. Very, very clean room. Good size room for NY. Very nice hotel. Great location, right next to the subway, and just a few blocks from Canal St. and the financial district. The hotel and room were very clean. The room was a nice size for being in the city, and the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend this hotel to others.

Comfortable bed; great shower with plenty of hot water; new fixtures and very clean. The heater/air conditioner was a little confusing at first since there were no directions, but ceiling fan was nice. Not a lot of walking room in the room, but very efficient use of space. Lots of restaurants in the area, cute icecream shoppe downstairs, and Starbucks (which was fortunate since there isn't a coffee maker in the room).

for a business traveler with 12 hour days at a conference, it was good proximity to the Village and adequate to 'crash' at night. the shower had great water pressure. if you are claustrophobic do not stay here...tiny room. Also, there are no work out or business facilities and not much of a lobby to speak of. Two subway lines within steps.

The hotel was in a perfect location for our needs with the subway being right outside the hotel. The room was set up as a little suite, with the double bed being in a separate little room on the side. There was just enough room for the bed to fit. The room came with two TVs, one in the sitting room and one in the bedroom. Both rooms had ceiling fans, which were sufficient, but in the summer, I'm not sure they would be enough. I would definitely recommend the hotel though based on its location, its features, and price. Although for an extended stay with a lot of luggage, I'm not sure how comfortable that would be as we stayed for one night with a backpack, a small suitcase, and my purse, and it was kind of crowded in the sitting area. For one or two people on a short trip, definitely recommended.

The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are nice; comfy beds, etc. It's just that the windows are either lacking proper insulation or the multiple construction zones make for a rather noisy stay.

Our room was barely big enough to walk in. Our full size bed took up the entire room. We had to stack our bags on top of one another just so we could get to the bathroom. We had a beautiful view of a brick wall from our window, which had a A/C unit in it for more asthetics and it barely worked. The entire hotel smelled of mold and mothballs. ZERO amentities....oh...well they did have a ceiling fan. On our final night there, at around 2:30am,a flood from another floor ended up pouring throught the ceiling of our bathroom and flooding it out. So we had to move our toilet water soaked bags and belongings to another room at 3am. After this event, I had to negotiate with the front desk employee just to get an addition HOUR to check out...you see...you tend not to sleep too much when you're wiping poo water off your bags. I could go on but I think I have made my point.

We did not know the window was open the first night and it was VERY noisy - was something that the mgmt had to fix and they did it right away. Our room had an older TV, not flat screen - was OK. The Cosmopolitan cafe and soda shoppes are not to be missed - lovely touches. Neighborhood was fantastic - so much right outside your door! Mostly Europeans staying there.
