Location, clean room and facilities, accessible parking at front of hotel, friendly and helpful staff, Internet access. Computer station at lobby, out of three terminals, only one worked with the printer. Great location mid-way on the Boardwalk. When we checked in, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, the only minor complaint we had was the mildew that was overlooked in the shower area. Loved the wireless Internet access in the room, and hubby loved the sitting niches in the lobby were he could relax, read and enjoy the complimentary coffee.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and 2 young children. We were very pleased with all of the staff. The hotel is at an excellent location right in the middle of the famous boardwalk. We had a Suite with 2 double beds which was ideal because we were able to close the bedroom door when it was time for the kids to nap. It was wonderful to have the kitchen area so we could have beverages in the fridge and there was plenty of room to dish up take out. The pool was never crowed although that may be due to the fact that we were there off season. The hotel was very intelligently designed. All rooms have an ocean view. The suites are at the ends of the hall and those have a view of the ocean with a balcony off of the living room and a view of the street side from the bedroom. Even the lobby and pool have an ocean view. I would stay there again.

Friendliness andlocation. Thin mattresses. Location right on Virginia Beach Oceanfront. All rooms have balcony. Indoor pool is a plus. Very clean and friendly staff. Dining facility, business center and indoor pool all with lobby access very attractive.

The Virginia Beach Courtyard was awesome. The room was nicely decorated and overlooked the water, which was beautiful. My only complaint is the cost. The same hotel would cost $* less. Other than the cost, it was good experience.

I took two teenagers (a 15 year old girl visiting from Switzerland and an American girl) to Virginia Beach for a couple days. The Courtyard by Marriott Oceanfron South was perfect for them. It is located in the middle of everything, on the boardwalk and all the rooms have balconies facing the ocean. It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I had not been to Virginia Beach for several years and I found it to be clean and safe. The boardwalk was well lighted at night and many people were out. There were many free activities at venues along the boardwalk and Atlantic Avenue. We attended a free concert by The Romantics and free magic shows. One night there were fireworks over the ocean. We never had to drive anywhere. If there had been rain, we would have driven a short distance to the Aquarium, but the weather was sunny and the girls were content to be on the beautiful, clean beach. For a trip with young people I highly recommend a trip to Virginia Beach and a stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Oceanfront South. The Travel agent price was good for this hotel.

The staff was wonderful! I've NEVER had better customer service at a hotel! For a clean oceanfront location at Virginia Beach, you won't be able to beat the customer friendliness of this staff. The manager was WONDERFULLY welcoming. I will definitely consider staying at this location in the future!

The happy hour at the bar. The view from the room. It was right on the strip and close to everything. The front desk person was very friendly. The room was nice though, with a great ocean front view. It was also nice to have a fridge in the room. The TV quality and look of the bathroom was nothing special, but clean nonetheless. There was a great happy hour at the bar downstairs. Good quality wine and beer. Overall, it was a great hotel. Free parking, too.

Everything was great except when I checked in. The front desk clerk kept answering the phone while he was trying to check me in. I was very annoyed because I had a dinner to attend & the waiting caused me to be late. I spoke to the Manager the next morning. She seemed disinterested.

Everyone was genuinely friendly. Nothing. We really enjoyed our stay. Right on the beach friendly, clean, great breakfast and good happy hour. Our room faced the beach very romantic.

I loved that the entire hotel was smoke-free. The pool was not kept up very well. My overall experience at the hotel was great. The staff was friendly and everything appeared to be clean. The biggest attraction to this hotel for me and family was the smoke-free atmosphere.
