Made me feel like a VIP Two lamps didn't have lightbulbs but that was probably the previous guests fault. Safe, secure, friendly and very clean. Plus the check out wasn't until noon which was very nice. I would have no problem staying at the Radisson again. It was a great deal.

Sleep number beds! Can¿t think of anything. Housed in one of Norfolk¿s most historical hotel buildings, the Radisson Norfolk has been renovated into an extremely attractive, clean and friendly 2.5/3-star hotel for business and leisure travelers alike. The staff is polite and responsive; the room service was fast and delicious; and the sleep number bed provided one of the best night's sleeps I¿ve had in a while.

Clean room and comfortable bed. Lobby under construction and bathroom needed repair. Terrific location to the city, but a little hard to locate off the interstate. Lobby is under construction so scaffolding, poor lighting, and no place to sit. The room was clean, but needed repairs as the bathroom was getting much worn (cigarette burns on counter and bath tub, counter pulling apart at the seems, wood molding heavily damaged). I care most about clean and comfortable; and it was both. So a mixed review.

Nothing!! Everything. This hotel is a DUMP!! they are in the process of renovating it but the rooms and the hallways stink from mildew. Lighting is poor and dreary and location is in the "not so friendly" part of town. AVOID!!

Good view of the pool, the room was nice, beds could have been better. Beds could have been better, and TV reception wasn't always good. Overall, pretty good. Not as quiet as I would have thought. My first time in a Radisson, and it was not quite what I had expected, but still pretty decent.

The hotel was located close to where I needed to go. The sink was cracked and it took forever to get hot water. The refrigerator was noisy. Not crowded in the middle of winter, so we had all facilities to ourselves. Didn't stay long enough to make use of anything.

Spacious, felt like everything was there if needed. Needs a face lift, very elegant but old. Pool was great, large rooms. its close to downtown Norfolk and the interstates. 20 minutes from the beaches, 75 minutes from Williamsburg. adjacent to the hotel is a rough neighborhood so you don't want to go walking around the hotel at night, but we had no trouble.

Location to downtown and free parking. Smell and general condition. Desperately needs an overhaul. Staffs were fine. Food was ok. Decor is terrible. Needs renovation. Dank smell everywhere, even main lobby.

The Sleep Number bed. The hotel was outdated with wall paper peeling off the walls, stained carpets, dimly lit halls, and the location (right next to the projects). When we arrived to our room, the carpets were musty, the bathroom lights didn't work, and the wallpaper was peeling off the wall.

Large swimming pool. Moldy smell, missing tiles, daily room cleaning, unresponsive management. This hotel is due for a major renovation. The furniture in the lobby is dirty. The lighting is poor in common areas. Two elevators did not work the whole time. The bedding is old and worn out. Tiles and wallpaper missing throughout the hotel. I would not stay and this hotel again. This is definitely not a 2 1/2 star hotel!

Refrigerator and micro in room. TV needs a sleep timer. Not really a great part of town after sunset. They have gates from the road that they close after dark if that says anything. For the business traveler a good place but I wouldn't take a family there.

The room left a lot to be desired. The price of this hotel definately does not measure up to the quality. Staff were not friendly upon checkin. Bathroom ceiling looked like it was falling in. Furniture look used and abused. Very worn. Room numbers were written on walls. We got stuck in elevator for 5 min. (because floor was closed) looking for snack machines since room service stops at 10.

Internet connections/in room movies. Walls to thin could not watch TV without bothering neighbors/rude security people. Construction on the entrance way. There was no way to unload and load baggage from vehicle. Many steps to climb to enter hotel. There was no assistance from bellmen to carry luggage. The desk never had newspapers as they promised. The people in general were rude and not concerned with our needs. We had to ask for room service 2 of our 3 day stay.

The lobby floor. My room was filthy looks like the maid took a break when it came to mine had to ask for clean linen twice. The best feature of the hotel is the beautiful tiled lobby and other offices that any patron would see upon entering which is total deceptive. The rooms are old and it looks like the maid who was assigned to clean my room either slept in the bed and shredded her long dark hair or weave. Oh yeah, she must have eaten some kind of snack because the evidence was left in the sheets. The toilet had not been touched looks like someone vomited in it and left it to sit. This hotel gets a 1- in my book nothing great to tell about in comparison to other nice hotels that I haves stayed at.

I had booked my hotel reservation through Orbitz about 1 week before my trip. To play it safe, I had called the hotel on the day before my trip to confirm my reservation. The hotel had no reservation in their computer for me. I had to call Orbitz to get the mess straightened out. Overall it took an extra hour and a half of my time, to get everything fixed, that I could have otherwise used for packing. I had reserved a room with a king size bed. When I spoke to a member of the hotel staff the night before my trip, I was assured that I would be getting a room with a king sized bed as per my reservation. When I arrived, I was given my key card and went to my room. It was a room with double beds and not a king size bed. When I addressed the problem with the hotel staff, I was told that the reservation is just a request for a room and not for a bed size. I was also told that there were no more rooms with king sized beds available for the next few days because of overbooking on the July 4th weekend. They made no apologies for the inconvenience and they did not offer, nor would they give me, any compensation. My wife and I ended up sleeping in one of the double beds. The price for the room does not include any type of breakfast. The hotel does have a restaurant, but the hot breakfast bar is $10.99. The food was very good, but I would not recommend it for someone watching their weight, or on a diet, due to the cost. The hotel is being remodeled and the new decor is not my cup of tea. I know the look that they are trying to achieve, but it really misses the mark. I personally do not find the decor appealing. The water in the shower was luke warm at best on two of the days during my stay. I did not get a working remote control for my television until 24 hours after I first made the hotel staff aware of the problem with the remote. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I did not like the way they messed up my reservation and took no responsibility for the problem. They i

The sleep number bed was fabulous! A lot of steps to get in to the building. Getting to the pool was little challenging? Everything about the hotel was great. The front desk staff and housekeeping was extremely courteous, friendly, and accommodating. The only negative was the overzealous housekeeper the morning of our checkout. She knocked on the door before 9am on a Saturday (check out isn't noon). I informed her that we wouldn't be checking out until noon. She returned at 11:30 and 11:45, not knocking, just letting herself in both times. The last time she said that she would come back at 12:30. That was annoying. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel and using your "do not disturb" tag which our room did not have.

THE GOOD: Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK and more helpful, pleasant staff. The bed was very comfortable. THE BAD: Parking lot is unsecure, and signs state part of it floods in heavy rain. The paint and wallpaper was peeling in the room, and the hallway smelled exactly like some nursing homes I've visited. There is NO EXHAUST FAN in the bathroom so the door must remain open or it steams up. The TV is mediocre and the signal faded. Two of the light bulbs on the tables were burned out. The mirrored closet door almost fell off when I tried to open it. A three bus group was leaving at one point and only ONE elevator was working so we had to walk down 7 flights to get to the lobby. Down town is about a half mile plus away and although there is a FREE city shuttle, it operates on IFFY schedule an on weekends does not appear to run.On the trips to town we ended up walking and after a couple days we were worn out. There is lots to see and do in Norfolk and I highly recommend this city. BUT,Stay away from this TIRED hotel. It has seen it's better days. This compares to one I stayed in, In EAST GERMANY 20 years ago!

The bathroom had tile that was lying in the floor. That was the first thing I noticed and it looked very disgusting. The bathtub was dirty and did not drain well. The shower curtain was also dirty. In the room, the floors were dirty and had dirt spots on the floor, I felt uncomfortable taking my shoes off. The bed, which I thought was going to be great since it was a sleep number bed, was broken. We were overall very dissatisfied with our stay and would not stay there again. It was very dissapointing.

Entire hotel smells musty, but covered in some sort of disinfectant smell. In-room refrigerator was so loud I had to unplug it to get some sleep. In-room air conditioner wasn't much quieter. Sleep number beds were OK. I used the one that WASN'T FLAT. Good thing there were two beds! Parking is OK, but I wouldn't take my family there. Parking is not secured, there is a wrought iron fence with no security in place or on patrol. Next time I will stay near the Airport. This is NOT a "Good Buy" or "Good Deal" as in this case you get LESS than what you pay for...

The only reason why we checked in was because we arrived in the area at midnight. We've been assigned a room in one of the two story buildings next to the main hotel. Walking towards the room was very scary : filthy, smelly, moldy, water leaks and paint falling from the ceilings. The smell in the room was unbearable. We got out as fast as we could and requested another room in the main building. Staff very courteous, no questions asked and we got a room with a view on the 10th floor. Very dirty and stinky corridors, immaculate linens, comfortable beds, great shower but peeling wallpaper due to water leaks, dubious and rusty bathrooms. This hotel is a health hazard and should be closed until renovation is being made.

Central location at good. Full of rambunctious teens in the hallways at 1am. This is a totally adequate, clean, well-kept place to spend the night. No charm or class, however.

Nice room, great king sized Select Comfort Bed. Location not great but worth it in savings. Shower could be better. Location is going into the not so great part of town, but I did not feel unsafe. The general appearance of the hotel, lobby, and hallways was not the best. The actual room, however, was clean and comfortable. The bed was great- king sized Select Comfort.

"Dried blood on sheets, ice machines not working on at least 3 floors, water fountain broken, despite request housekeeping did not clean the bathroom mirror (previous guest had left a crass drawing visible when mirror fogged), dirty glasses not removed, cleaned or replaced, six dollar per day valet parking to move you car thirty feet, room key cards randomly deactivated without telling guests, sleep number beds on par with camping air mattresses. For the price, this hotel has past its prime. Would recommend other area hotels for lower rates along with better amenities and overall facilities."

The staff went out of their way for me on more than one occasion. The chicken sandwich, I ordered from room service wasn't the best - but it was ok. I had the misfortune of getting sick during my trip, and the staff went out of their way to help me. They picked up some Tylenol for me, free of charge and when it turned out that I needed medical attention, they immediately arranged a free ride to the hospital.

The rooms were nice, service was polite, and the location was great. I did not get service at the restaurant so I left, but I was able to walk to food from the hotel. I have no clue why this hotel is getting such poor reviews. My room was wonderful, the lobby seemed very nice (and decked out for the holidays), it had easy parking, the staff was friendly, and the specialty beds, if you know how to read instructions, were extremely comfortable. It makes no pretensions of being a 5 star hotel, but paying a 1 star price for a 2.5 star hotel makes for a great stay.

Comfortable beds & free parking Construction in Lobby & Outside doors & Gate were unlocked Very nice. The beds were nice and the location is very central, within walking distance of all the resturants and bars in Norfolk and a short drive to VA Beach. Also, it is the only hotel in downtown Norfolk with free parking, which is very convenient. The only downsides were the construction in the Lobby blocking one of the entrances, and when I tried one of the doors and a gate that were supposed to be only accessible using room keys, but the doors opened without them.
