The train station is a little over a mile from the hotel. Good location on the Hongqiao side of Shanghai. Nice familiar feel and sense of friendliness. Getting more expensive. Rooms are being refurbished nicely. Dining is expensive.

Have used this hotel many times for family members when visiting for New Years. Staff are friendly with decent knowledge of english. Taxis arrive regulary at the front and staff can help translate with the taxi drivers. Also 15-25min walk to shopping malls and subway. Although most activities are spread out through Shanghai, the Crowne Plaza is located in a good area with many local activities around it.

It was average. Hotel staff was not very helpful. Very old hotel in a residential neighborhood.
