An overnight stay as Dalston Halll Country HotelA wonderful country hotel in beautiful surroundings. We were greeted by a wonderful smell of linseed & beeswax mixed with fresh lilies - truly delightful. Our room was spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. My husband played the adjoining 9 hole golf course (not owned by the hotel) while I went shopping in Carlisle (only a few miles drive away) - PerfectThe food was fabulous and so was the service. Would recommend

Food was really, really excellent. Huge comfortable bed. Gorgeous room. Bathroom needs updating but was clean and adequate. Very attractive surroundings. Was very quiet when we were there. Would have liked more effort with conversation/pleasantries with the staff (never asked how our day was, never used our name, etc). General manager made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her. And they charge £10 for ice would you believe???? But dont let this put you off. Very nice all in all.
