Location. I was traveling with elderly parents and my sister. The hotel was perfect for our needs. All the common areas were well maintained and the room was great.

I stayed in the suites and the room was amazing, set up just right. The bed was very comfortable, I have a bad back so this is very important to me. I was so impressed that when I returned to Savannah 3 days later I booked a suite again. I will return in October and this is where I will be staying. The only problem I had was in the business center, the printer was not working so I could not print out my boarding passes. However, in line with southern hospitality the front desk staff let me into the office to use their computer and printer. I was very satisfied with the service and the free breakfast!

The bartender said some choice words to us, our room was not serviced or cleaned. This hotel was terrible. For the amount of money for 2 nights, I would have rather gone somewhere else. The room was dip in the drawers, there was no tissue or remote, the bathroom door did not close and the tub was clogged.

This hotel was a really great deal. The location was perfect, one street back from River St, which is where everything happens, and close to the Market. The hotel has it's own parking garage, which you can pay one rate for, and walk everywhere from this location. There are tons of restaurants all around to choose from. We did not actually eat at the hotel, so I can't tell you if that was good. The room we stayed in was a King suite, and it was very clean. There were three rooms, a sitting room and the bedroom, as well as a bathroom. We were traveling with a 4 year old, and the couch had a fold out bed, which she slept on, and we took the bedroom. There was some noise from other patrons walking through the halls that night, but not so much that it had a bad effect on our experience. We decided on our last day here to drive to Tybee Island for a day trip, and it was about a 20 minute drive without traffic. I'd highly recommend the trip!

During our stay we enjoyed the fact that we were in the historic district of Savannah. The facility is very well taken care of. And the employees were very welcoming and helpful with all the questions about the area that we had. The noise level was surprisingly low even with a bus full of high school students just down the hall. Parking was not an issue since the hotel had it's own parking garage and in downtown Savannah that can be a challenge. The quality for the price was excellent. We will be back!!

The staff & hotel were fabulous! Nothing! My friend and I stayed at the Inn and we were very impressed with hospitality of your staff. Each person we came across during our stay was very pleasant and helpful to us. The concierge,really stands out as he was completely exceptional! He arranged a brilliant meal for us at the Chart House across the street Saturday night and then helped us decide on fun activities the following day. He truly exceeded our expectations and we are grateful to have had his knowledgeable and friendly assistance while we were your guests. Thank you very much!

I'd been looking for an unplanned Hotel stay at the last minute with a Garage. The Inn at Ellis Square turned a night of "just having a place to lay my head" into something wonderful. The King Efficency Suite I was given was remarkable. Exceptially Clean, very nicely decorated and roomy. The view was impressive as the sun set and the Staff was above what I've experienced in some much more expensive places. They were polite, informative and helpful to any rediculous question sI may have had. Teh Location is great - just across from River street and a short walk to the market and the other sights in the Historic District - the comfort and rest I had in this room revived me to the point that I did go out and explore one of my favorite cities. Service is one thing I could rave on and on about. I left items in my room and they kept them for a return visit I will be making this week. I changed my plans and had to check out early and they charged me only a half days stay, rather than the full night I was expecting for my second day. I will be staying here again and have suggested this to other friends of mine tha tvisit regularly.

We had a great time when we were in Savannah! The Inn at Ellis Square is located a block away from the market square and in easy walking distance to River Street. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful!! Thanks for giving a great get away!

The free Wi Fi in only only on the ground floor lobby. The bathrooms are tiny and the sink is outside of the bathroom. There tend to be a lot of conventions staying here, Think Girl Scouts in the summer. The Place is a zoo. Street side rooms are very noisy.

We have stayed at several hotels in Savannah over the years on the same street, and this stay, by far was our best. The two-story room was wonderful and accommodated our family of five; the hotel staff were courteous and very responsive and helpful. It is in a great location--River Walk across the street and the Market area is just behind the hotel. There was plenty of secure parking and an outdoor pool. We will stay here again on our next trip to Savannah.

Stayed the week o 7/27/09 and was impressed by everything!. We stayed in one of the king suites so we could have a separate bedroom for our daughter and a friend, which allowed privacy and plenty of room. Our experience was a smooth one from the beginning at the front desk through checkout. The continental breakfast included many options, and was continually restocked in spite of people continually coming through. All staff were cooperative, hotel was clean, and the location was wonderful (to River Street, City Market, etc.) OVERALL clearly met the standards for a good price, particularly compared to other hotels. Would stay again.

This is the first time I have ever written a review. After reading all of the favorable reviews, I thought we were making the right choice, how wrong was I. We stayed in the two-level suite, room 434. The first thing I noticed was the walls were not very clean and the carpet was stained. When the kids went upstairs to check out their bed it was so hot you could hardly stand it. We called maintenance to come and check things out and the guy did not even know where the vents were located at for the upstairs room. The upstairs room was hot the entire time we stayed. Next, the tub was stopped up, maintenance was called again. And, the shower curtain was so sour you could barely stand the smell of it. While turning down the air to cool the room, the control went blank and said the battery needed to be replaced. My son was running around playing and he jumped on the bed and I noticed the bottom of his feet were black and this came from the carpet being just that dirty. Our room was not vacuumed the entire time we were there. We arrived Saturday and checked out on Wednesday. As far as breakfast, the items on the menu was changed one day and that was sausage and biscuit. All the other days it was biscuit & gravy and the standard breakfast items of cereal, waffles, fruits, bagel, toast. In the business center, there was no ink in the printers. This was first and believe me the last time I will ever stay at this place. Beware, Beware!

I always stay here for business. the room rates are good for being on W Bay St, there are plenty of eateries within walking distance, the staff is helpful. Only downside right now is the construction going on next door, but there's not much they can do about it. It's just very noisy and crowded. But overall, I really like the hotel.

Right across the street from the riverfront. Could walk to everything. Room was clean and comfortable, however the toilet kept running and had to be jiggled every time and the room we were in was facing the Main street where it was noisy most of the night. There's a countdown at each intersection to cross. Hotel staff was very helpful and the breakfast was excellent.

Close to the heart of the city. Easy walking distance. Nice to have a parking garage right next door and you can park you own car. Really didn't need to use the car was able to use the tour bus because we were only there a day and a half. Purchased our tour tickets from the Concierge "she was a real pip" and appeared quite knowledgeable. Mrs Wilks a must do, but get there early. Fiddlers not worth it for fresh fish. Best Pizza just a block from the hotel. Overall it is a great place to visit will come back for sure. The people were very friendly.

Location was great for river street access! Rooms were very small, somewhat dingy--older. This is great value, close to River Street and nightlife. The rooms aren't fancy, but the hotel lobby and bar are nice. Parking is convenient, and it is a budget friendly place.

Bed had dirty sheets, pillows were dirty, room smelled horrible, a/c was inop. Hotel felt and looked dirty. Sink was clogged in bathroom. I regret not asking for a refund. I was embarrassed that I chose this room to board and entertain visiting friends. The only thing good about the hotel was the location. Staff was ok.
