After 2 days I have changed the room for a lighter one and unfortunatelly left a power supply cable for my laptop at the first place.The ladies from the front desk kept telling me for 2 days there is no cable,the room was checked twice blah,blah,blah... ,even shortly before check out on Sat,June20. However,while leaving the complex I asked a man from room cleanning service and described a whole story.He made a short call and to my supprise after 5-10 min was able to find it.His name was [...] and in this way I want to send my best regards to him !!!Special thanks to [...] from the front desk for his fast and unproblematic approach while changing the rooms.Summa summarum I will definitely stay at Desert Rose again.Roman B.

The Desert Rose Resort was beautiful. The kitchen with all the amenities was very nice and roomy with granite counters and everything you would need. The living room and dining room were very comfortable. The bedroom was very spacious with it's attached bathroom with plenty of counter and closet space. The pool was sparkling clean and close to the main lobby. It was an easy walk to the Strip and the MGM Grand across the street. We had a wonderful time and will definately stay again and have already told many people about it as well.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Desert Rose Resort. Although it I didn't get to attend the happy hour, I thought it was nice to have it available for the guests. There were two things I was unhappy with; 1) the yougurt on the continental breakfast contained a sweetner which made me ill for the whole day, it was not labeled as such, if so I wouldn't have eaten it. 2) I am not a prejudice person, but I do not like the fact that the some of the staff cannot speak any english. I'm not in a foreign country, I shouldn't have to speak a foriegn lanuage in my own country.

This hotel is very good for families with children, it does not have the casino environment. We came to Las Vegas for the attraction, the sights and nearby sight-seeing such as the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam.

We booked into the Desert Rose for 4 nights from 18 April 2009 based on its reviews, proximity to the strip, kitchen and price. We were advised upon arrival at 9.40pm (I had emailed twice in advance advising of this) that the hotel had had a major plumbing problem that morning and many rooms were out of service and we would have to go to the Bluegreen resort 'just around the corner' for the night. Interestingly we phoned from LA airport at 6.30pm just before our flight to check someone would be there when we arrived and no one mentioned anything then. Suspecting a rat, but too tired to keep arguing (following a 21 hour flight the day before from our home with a 7 and 9 year old in tow), we hopped in the taxi paid for by the hotel and off it drove and drove and drove. When we asked where we were going the taxi driver (bless this gorgeous man) pointed to some far away lights and indicated that the hotel was about half an hour walk from the strip past a huge and dangerous vacant lot. So he took us back to the Desert Rose. We said we were happy to shift to another hotel but it had to be equal or better (ie with 2 young children strip proximity was paramount). Nup, they couldn't do it. Their denial of my request to see the rooms with the plumbing problems confirmed what I suspected. After an hour of arguing - they picked the wrong jetlagged woman on the wrong night and I was ready to set up the lobby as our hotel room and put the kids to sleep on the couches abracadabra there was suddenly a room available. Amazing. So when they try this low life trick on you I hope this story helps. Obviously we looked like total suckers ie we paid a non-refundable rate in advance and being a busy weekend could there have been better offers on the table? My advice to the hotel lift your game in the choice of front desk managers I doubt that the guy working on the night of the 18 April was what any hotel would want representing them. I liked the spacious rooms and the fully stocked kitchen. I did not like the pillows they were very uncomfortable. This hotel was very classy, with great staff and a convenient location. The hotel was renovating which resulted in no hot breakfast but they provided breakfasts in grab and go bags. The fitness room was good, and very busy. Free wireless internet would have been a huge plus if offered.
